Core™ i5-12600K Desktop Processor 10 (6P+4E) Cores up to 4.9 GHz Unlocked LGA1700 600 Series Chipset 125W

There is not a lot to say about this 12th Generation CPU except that it is a great performer and was delivered very speedily from the USA. The Spec is 12th gen Core with Base Clock Speed: P-Core: 3.7 GHz, E-Core: 2.8 GHz; Maximum Boost Speed: P-Core Turbo: 4.9 GHz, E-Core Turbo: 3.6 GHz, Socket: LGA 1700, CPU Cores: 10, CPU Threads: 16. The P-cores (Golden Cove) will operate at a base frequency. I am still investigating all it does but immediately standing out is the combined UHD graphics and the ability to over clock for avid gamers. No, this is not the fastest in the range but is lightning fast and enough for me at the moment.

Did buy the cheaper cpu but decided on this one instead well worth the extra money fast and helps with high cpu using games

Love the jump up in performance over my Gen-4 - that's what it's designed to do! No base level fan to immediately replace.

Great processor for the price.

Stable. Fast. Not that hot. Latest connectivity. Easy to install. Where's the catch? On the plus side, there are few compatibility issues with programs and those that do may simply need the efficiency cores to be disabled. The chip is quite small for the number of cores you get on the new manufacturing process. It does what it says on the tin and seems to be the sweet spot in the range in terms of price/performance (and this model even has in-built graphics if you need it). On the downside, you really get bare bones here. No cooler. No thermal paste. Nothing but good old fresh air inside the box and a bit of plastic that protects the processor. I also thought that the LGA1700 installation was a bit unnerving after coming from socket AM4 or TR4. You really do need to be brace to force that metal arm down on the socket to squash the chip into place. The slightly more rectangular shape of the chip also means that many coolers are incompatible so make sure you get one with LGA1700 out of the box or you will need some sort of adaptor or mounting kit. Would I buy it again? Yes, definitely. I had some concerns about compatibility but those have largely been addressed. I read that the chip can get rather how but I have not seen anything remotely worrying, even in heavy load situations. The best part is the Windows 11 support and the future-proofing of latest connectivity (even though a major selling point is the efficiency cores for light workloads).

currently the best valued performance cpu on the market, have intergrated gpu, however if you are looking to purchase this cpu, you will need to get a lga1700 motherboard which is expensive, and you will also have to check if your cpu cooler supports lga1700 mounts

My old CPU was unable to manage the workload I would put on it. But this new one can handle it all just fine without bottlenecking. I did have to get a new motherboard too but the price was worth it overall. Just remember to check your motherboard compatibility before you buy this unless you get a new motherboard that's compatible.

Prezzo più che onesto,il processore molto spesso più potente e veloce di tipi e generazioni più nuove e più costose. Il pacco ben imballato e consegna molto veloce è arrivato 1 settimana in anticipo addirittura haha cosa inaspettata però gradita.

Monate später wurde die Hauptplatine, ASUS Prime Z690-P WiFi D4 für Verwendung mit DDR4 Arbeitsspeicher, gekauft und der Prozessor darauf eingebaut. Gekrönt wurde das Ganze mit einem Akasa Lüfter, der für die 125W TDP Spezifikation konstruiert wurde. Zusätzlich ist auf der Hauptplatine eine ASUS Thunderbolt 4 Einbaukarte vorhanden. Die automatische Steuerung der Leistungsverbesserung des Prozessors kann in dem BIOS der Hauptplatine noch beeinflusst werden oder abgeschaltet bleiben. Seit dem 26. November 2022 läuft das Rechnersystem hier ohne Beanstandungen, mit einem Betriebssystem basierend auf einem Linuxkernel. Ob tägliche Textverarbeitung, das Schneiden von Filmen im UHD Format oder das Übersetzen von Programmen in Quelltext zu Maschinensprache, alles funktioniert tadellos. Für den hier gedachten Einsatzzweck ist dieser Prozessor vollkommen ausreichend und kann für intensive Anwendungen empfohlen werden.
