Unfortunately for us - the unit didn't live up to expecations, the VPN capabilities were extremely lacking, as such we returned the unit.

Great little router. I use Ting Mobile to power these so that I can skip months and pay as I go. Beats paying 5x the money for a Cradlepoint. Get it, they work!

TL; DR - The user manual is superficial and poorly written. Support is lacking. Setting this router up is an exercise in futility. I am effectively able to use this router as a a cellular modem (ie., able to connect to the internet while connected to the modem via eth or wifi) but there is some sort of firewall in place that prohibits me from accessing the router/network remotely. The only way I was able to overcome that obstacle was to set up a VPN (in which case I was able to access the router remotely) but even then, I was unable to access devices connected to the network. I program for a living and have tried all obvious and many not-so-obvious solutions but nothing worked. It's built on a nix platform so I could jailbreak it and make it do what I want it to do but that's not what I paid for and I do not want to do that.

Chose these because others are moving to cloud admin only. This thing just works. Was leery at first because of the price point but it has been online since it was delivered and has not had a hiccup yet. I plan to by several more based on the performance of this initial purchase.

This is a neat little wifi router, still have not gotten it to work, but that is because of the carriers and not the router. That is something that you need to know before you buy this though. This router tells the carrier that it is a router and not a phone so many companies will cut your service of throttle you or, in my case only allow you to use their hotspot data. Quite frankly it is not the carriers business what I am using. This is not Linovisions fault, but you should be aware. They had good customer service. Update.... There are no inexpensive service providers for this router that i can find. For unlimited internet you are in the 80 to 100 dollar range per month. Better off using T mobile service with a T mobile router. Wish I had not bought this. Linovision should state this in the sales ad.
