Chamberlain B4603T MYQ Smart Garage Door Opener, Ultra Quiet Belt Drive, 3/4-HP Motor - Quantity 1

Chamberlain B4603T is much quieter than old traditional chain opener. I liked the myQ app very much. You download the app and it shows detailed animation and diagram how to install guide. I think you could install it yourself. It was compatible with my old garage door(lift master security +), so no need to replace the railing nor bracket on the ceiling of the garage. It has high quality build and strong horse power to work with 2 car garage door easy. It is wired to the house electric, so no worries for battery. You can download app on your phone, and open the garage door while you are on a vacation far away from home when Amazon delivery drop off your important items. It also came with 2 remotes which you can keep inside your cars. I got a control panel installed outside, and you can open by putting your pass cord. It works really well, and I am quite happy with this purchase.

I’ve installed a number of garage door openers in the past so I found the installation fairly straight forward just using the enclosed installation manual. However, the built in LED light didn’t work. In looking through the manual under ‘troubleshooting’ the instructions for addressing this were not at all detailed (see the photo). In looking at the opener it’s not at all obvious either as to what needs to be done “to remove the cover”. I reached out to Chamberlain customer support and they were very helpful. They ended up sending me a new light assembly (which encompasses most of the bottom of the unit, see photos). Included with the new light were more detailed instructions on how to remove the old light assembly. After taking out the screws and lowering the old light assemble, the wire connection came apart – clearly they weren’t connected tightly in assembly. Connecting the wires fixed the issue and I have an extra LED light if the original fails. By the way – if you need more detailed instructions on removing the light assembly do a Google search on the part number: 041-0203-000. From there, click on the chamberlain link to the part, which has a link to the instructions. As to how the opener works: I love it. It’s very quiet and works very smoothly. The MyQ app was fairly easy to setup and works well. The light though is somewhat underwhelming, at least in my specific situation, in that it shines on the back wall of the garage. My door to the house is on the side wall, more towards the front of the garage, so there’s not a lot of light that shines on it. I think having an adjustable light (one that could be pointed to where you want it) would be ideal. In the end, I’ll give this 4 stars: Great mechanicals, very smooth and quiet but the light is a bit of a disappointment. Edit: I was able to rotate the light 180 degrees and have it point to the garage door, thus better light the entrance to my house. See the last picture. Much improved, will up to 5 stars. Chamberlain should outline the steps for this in their manual!

Great Option - Quiet, Easy Install

Funciona perfecto , solo me hubiera gustado que se integre con google o alexa, en México no tenemos esas opciones y como es importado no se puede sincronizar con prime. Dato adicional, la función en México está al revés dado que nuestros portones no son de cortina, cuando abres el portón para el motor es cerrar y cuando lo cierras para ellos es abrir. Incluso la app te dice que lleva abierto horas.

The garage door opener is just as they presented it. It was very easy to install, works great and is very quiet. It’s great .
