Good fit. You have to push a little harder for it to lock in place but that IMO means the seal is better. Makes the use a little inconvenient but I like the trade. The installation is simple as expected. And I've tried it after installation and functions like it should no on-off-on-off thing happening. Sucks, in a good way. Hah.

This was an excellent replacement part for our Dyson V8. The old part didn’t break, but it did wear out and become overly flexible such that the bin lid never stayed closed without duct tape. This is an affordable replacement part and much cheaper than buying a new Dyson stick vacuum.

Fits and works great. A bit tough to install, as it feels like it will break. But, with care I managed to get it installed ok.

original part broke when cleaning out the debris (plastic part) found this on Amazon and it works perfect ( still plastic) but a better price then going thru Dyson for a replacement,
