Well made, compass is not stable. All in all good for the price.

I’ve just returned from a circumnavigation of the globe in a Viking ship. Couldn’t have made it without my trusty sun dial. Unfortunately it got a little bent while we were pillaging villages but fortunately I plundered enough treasure to buy another one.

Cute decorative piece and it actually works! My husband and I tried this out and both the compass and sundial were functionable which was more than I was expecting. Initially we thought the compass was broken but turns out that it has a lock mechanism for when it's not in use. The wood box is pretty cheap looking but it keeps it safe.

Interesting item to play with but did not have any instructions on how to set it up though. Could be interesting for someone into watches. Not Museum quality item and didn't expect that for the cost. Would like to find a 6" or 8" version of it of much higher quality.
