Super adorable book! The story is sweet and the illustration reminds me of old hand drawn Disney movies! My daughter loves it

The most darling children's book I may have ever read. All about raising your little one to be capable of living a great life of their own one day 😭 Will make you cry, but you get used to it.. Beautifully written. Sweet, poetic, rhythmic. And the illustrations could not be more charming. Everything I could hope for from a children's book and more. 5 stars from me!!

This is a children’s story but it’s touching and meaningful, no matter your age. The storyline is precious, and very heartwarming. I definitely shed a tear or two while reading this to my daughter. The illustrations are beautiful, I would just love to display this book forever in my daughters room because it’s so pretty to look at. The book quality itself is great! I should note that the book is hardcover, but the only illustration on the outside is that which is on the jacket/sleeve. The actual book has no imagery on the outside so please treat the book jacket gently if you’d like it to stay on! I bought two copies — one for my daughters Valentine’s Day basket, and one for our friends’ daughter who is just a few months older. She actually resembles the little girl in the book, so it made it even more special to gift. I highly recommend this book to everyone! Definitely a must-have!

This book brought me to tears and my 2.5 year old boy loved it. It is a beautiful short and rhythmic story that speaks about the ups and downs of love. When we read it, I let my son describe the imagery as I explain in a simple way what the story is trying to tell us. “[love] it’s sensing when the time is right to lift those wings, to travel on.” I say “the little duck grew and now wants to fly”. It’s just a wonderful wonderful story and I truly appreciate the black girl character as I try to bring diversity to the books I read to my son. You won’t regret buying it, it will make a beautiful gift as well.

This is such a sweet story about love, and learning to accept change. The illustrations are simply beautiful as well!

Cute book but had to return because the interior cover does not match the cover of the book. My daughter takes all the covers off her books

This book is a must-have for parents and caregivers with children who are 'flying the coop'. It explores these themes of growing up and letting go in a gentle and inviting way for children. The beautiful rhyme makes this even more poignant and perfect to read aloud. This book is one of my favourite picture books to gift to children (and their mothers!)

Conocí el cuento a través de la cuenta de Instagram de la ilustradora y me pareció una belleza. La sobrecubierta es de papel con las letras del título en relieve y la encuadernación del cuento es de tapas duras, de textura rugosa y de color amarillo, lo cual me parece un acierto, le da un aspecto de diseño antiguo. El tema que trata el cuento es una preciosidad, te explica el amor maternal desde el punto de vista de la relación entre la niña y su patito.

Cercavo questo libro per la mia bambina. Sono riuscita a trovarlo solo qui. Ci ha messo un po' per arrivare ma era più che prevedibile. Consegna cmq puntualissima.

This is such a beautiful book. It moves me every single time I read it to my three year old son. We both love the illustrations. They are so sweet. The story is just beautiful.
