Don't expect what you see in the pictures.
We purchased two of these lifting units ,one being the kayak kit and one being a stand alone motor unit . The long brackets( with all the holes) in the illustrations (fixed to the ceiling) are NOT included . Included are the little red brackets only! All works OK , just don't be fooled into thinking those mounting rails will be in the box when the delivery guy comes to the door.

Over 3 Years in and Zero Issues
I've been using My Lifter now for a bit over 3 years now and they work great. My kayak is long (14') and heavy over 80lbs. I also put other stuff on top of the kayak when I store it. I bought two lifters and started with just one, but I didn't feel comfortable with just one, cars being underneath and all... so I paired two together. I am planning on buying another for my canoe
