Pilot V Sign Pen Liquid Ink 2.0 mm Tip - Black, Single Pen

Awesome pen! Pros: I would say this is more like a felt tip marker but I still use it to journal when I am craving a really “juicy” writing pen. I saw someone on TikTok reviewing this and purple/indigo is one of my favorite colors to write with in my journal since it is so bold. The color is true to its name, and writes flawlessly. It is 100% smear proof on paper, and doesn’t bleed. No odor. And it doesn’t skip or require you to shake the pen for ink. It also shows you the ink level on the side of the barrel which I like. And, its such a pretty deep violet color. Cons: If you are looking for more precise fine-line writing this marker/pen is not for you. I also wish the pen was a little bit longer, as it is not the standard size of a normal pen and is a little awkward to hold in your hand. This pen was also abnormally expensive. I paid $7 for it when I don’t think it’s worth THAT much- but hey, I’m not that tight for cash. I love pens and markers! I wish it came in more colors, but beggars can’t be choosers.

I am obsessed with this pen! The quality is amazing, I love a bold tip and this thing is bold! It is a little on the short side, and would love to see a retractable version because I’m a cap hater lol but this will be a staple in my office.

Smooth writing ✍️ and signature comes out great

Let me start by saying I am pleased with the ink flow from this pen and the thickness of the line it makes in use. The tip is not thin but still allows for a good level of control when writing. Why then only 4 stars instead of 5? The answer is I agree with some of the prior reviews that note the pen ideally could be a little longer than it is. I do not have big hands and the pen still feels a little short in my hand--particularly when the cap is not attached to the back end of the pen while in use. Consequently, those folks who do have larger hands may want to give some thought to whether this product is the best choice for them given its size. With that said I would still buy this pen again.

Bold black marker. Will use to outline things in my journal. Does not bleed through my paper, no smear. For my writing style, the 2.0mm tip is a bit wide, but if you have a large/ strong writing style this could make quite an impact. Not quite as smooth some other pens, but that may be because I wasn't holding it well. I think these are also sold in a larger quantity to save a little $... I am very pleased overall.

Great! Thicker than a pen, but less than a marker. Writes very smoothly.

The pen is pretty small and squat. It’s only 5 inches long capped, 5 7/8 open with the cap on its other end. It feels a little inelegant to hold. The ink payout when drawing, however is very satisfying. It’s immediately thick and soaking ink from the nib. However it’s extremely smudgey. I’m left handed and there is no way I could use this for writing. I tried to use it to make a grid for something and it made the edges of my ruler very sticky with ink which got all over my fingers. If you let it set for a few hours it will be *slightly* less prone to running or smudging but this is not a pen to use when you need to keep a clean page. I might use it on a gouache painting when it’s fully dried if I need to mark a line. It is very smooth but for every day writing or doodling this is a no from me.

I love these because they are so juicy. Lots of ink and you can see when it's getting empty. It will never leave a dry line. It's not as thick as a sharpie so you can use it for smaller lettering.

Fantastic for sketching. Both black and blue are very nice :)
