This tester is helpful. I use it to test USB ports. It will also show you the amperage of small devices Will is also helpful in some occasions. A simple device, doesn’t feel too cheap.

We've been using this to confirm that usb ports installed in trucks are working properly. Comes in handy when an electronic device plugged in doesn't function and this helps you to diagnose if the device you're using is faulty or if there's an issue with the usb port.

Nice item that I use to test ports. I have to multiply volts times amps to get wattage. It would be nice if it displayed wattage. That's the number most of us want.

This device was very easy to use and settled a long running mystery of slow phone charging through our vehicle's built in USB charging port. Plugged the tester into the car's charging port and saw 5.0 volts which is exactly as expected. Then plugged a partially charged phone into the tester output and saw about 5.0V and .7 amps; everything working as expected. After a few minutes, voltage cut out to the tester. Bingo! The built in USB port stops working sporadically! This ends months of cable swapping and guessing This is the best $17 I have spent in a long time. Not only do I know where to focus my attention on repairs, we have numerous, previously condemned charging cables that are perfectly fine and back in use.

USB-A works great. USB-C dead at computer and chargers and everywhere. Just dead. Screen is easy to read. Amazon good at refunding and replacement is on the way.

I'm using this to test and verify amps/volts on various USB chargers and cables. It's already helped to weed out a flakey USB cable I suspected was drawing less watts than expected along with a AC cube charger that has seen it's last days. I have a rather large collection of power banks where the manuals or specs have disappeared. This tool verifies the output so I can make sure to use the right one for the application needed. Some things I need to rapid charge, while others can take their time. One often overlooked feature is the display. I don't care much for LCD displays anymore as I find most weak and hard to read. This is not an issue with LED. Accuracy appears to be within the same range as a multimeter, but much easier to use. I have no complaints, so five stars.
