Is Your Mama a Llama?

I adored this book as a kid and recently purchased it as a gift for a friend’s 3-year-old daughter. She loved it just as much as I did! It’s timeless, engaging, and perfect for little ones just starting their reading journey. The book arrived on time and in great condition—couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

This is a must have book for toddlers.

This was one of my favorite books when I was a child and now it’s also my son’s favorite. He loves the rhyming and the different animals. He enjoys looking at the drawings and naming the animals. The paper pages are easy to turn for his little fingers and haven’t torn.

I love this book -it is so clever! Honestly, I bought it for my child over 30 years ago and am now buying it for my grandchildren. There are certain books that they just have to have -this is definitely one of them. I also purchase as presents for my friends children and grands.

My 1 year old finds this book very pleasing. Artwork is excellent, as is the rhyme scheme and meter. Can easily be set to music.

I give this book to every new baby. It wad a favorite of ours when my 28 year old was a wee one. Such a fun read. Not sure it's teaching anything, but laughter is pretty important.

My 5 month old grandson loves for us to read to him. We can tell when he really likes a particular book because he moves his arms and legs around in excitement and then he will become very still for 15 seconds or so and move around excitedly again. Sully absolutely loves Is Your Mama a Llama, and it is one of his favorites out of twenty some books that we have for him. I found a song that goes with the book on youtube, and we have memorized all the words and sing the song as we read it to him and turn the pages. If you are interested, you can find the song on youtube by doing a search for "Is Your Mama a Llama (Original Song) - Book Included". (I would post the link but Amazon will probably erase it) The book itself is strong and sturdy with boarded pages that are impossible for him to damage at this age. He likes to turn the pages (if that's what one would call it!) and so board verses paper is much better for him at this age as he could easily tear the pages or give himself paper cuts. Adorable and highly recommended A side note: Amazon truly needs to improve their shipment packaging and protect their books like they used to. At least 90% of the children's books we have ordered have arrived damaged and had to be returned. The replacements have been damaged as well.

this is a great book, not too many words but a little more advanced than first board books. fun to read and for kids to guess what animal is coming next. love the illustrations, which show the animals as they are not cartoon versions (which seems to be the majority recently). And at the end, we enjoy the llamas with their llama mamas which my little one likes to (try to) say.
