nice and really good looking
such a cool knife holder, its clean looking, the wood is good quality and now my drawers are free from random knives. They have a place now!

less dense rod configuration, which is good
02/06/2025: Purchased this to replace a similar one that we had for over 15 years. This one has a less dense rod configuration, which is good. The old one was very dense and one had to force the knives into it. This model allows knives to easily slip into it, allowing the handle to prevent it from slipping in further, and will probably have the capability to hold more knives (currently 8 knives, 5 are 7 to 9 inches, 3 are less than 5 inches). This also handles the serrated bread knife and the Japanese serrated style knives easily. I can see this one lasting considerably longer. gvm

Bristles are not very dense
Beautiful wood on the outside, heavy and well made. However, the bristles are not very dense, allowing heavy knives to slide in the direction of the tilt.
