This thing is great, functions exactly as advertised. Seems to be similar brightness as a car headlight. I think folks that are complaining about brightness had lofty expectations or aren't supplying enough current. It'll turn on at 3 amps, lower than that it loses its mind. My nav light circuit was on 2amp fuse so keep that in mind. The nav lights draw under 1 amp and with nav lights and high beam it needs 5.126 which is shown on my power supply unit. Overall very satisfied with the product.

Many people stated the spotlight isn’t very bright. And it isn’t. I was disappointed as well. However, I learned the benefit of it while night fishing. As the night got cooler a light fog rose from the water as usual. My handheld bright flashlight was useless simply blinding me from the reflection back. I couldn’t see a thing. Like having your high beams on in a fog. This spotlight however provided a softer light that I could see with. I could maneuver it around to help keep an eye on how close to shore I was ( I was night trolling) and now I’ve come to rely on it. It’s a bit bulky to have on the front of the boat all the time, so I have a regular nav light I swap out when I’m not night fishing. I still wish it was a bit brighter hence the 4 stars. But when you are out in full dark, and just want a to see around you without blinding yourself, it does the trick. Just took a while to realize it..

1875 max beam distance, no on the water more like 20 ft. The concept is excellent idea , but my lil hand light was brighter. I would suggest you take a backup light because the light was useless to me . For this price, no not worth it.

Light looks ok. However packing was heavily damaged and missing remote and any paperwork that would have come with it.

I bought this light for one specific lake I fish at night.I have to go through a narrow channel that's riddled with boulders.This light works perfect for that.If you're looking for something sticking out of the water or the shore line, it's great.But for viewing across the water it's no better than any other spotlight.Remote works fantastic,any where you want it,even to shine the light back in the boat.The only drawback is it isn't waterproof(the remote).So you have to keep it in your pocket or someplace thats dry.If I ever buy another boat,this is going with me.Just pull it out of the socket and put it in the next one.I love it!

Game changer when coming in after dark. Spotlight and navigation lights

The spotlight works great. Very handy using the remote to to rotate the light to a specific area. Good for running the bass boat at night. It was much easier to install for my mechanic with it being a socket to connect to. The shaft could be a couple inches shorter. It's top heavy, of course. If it was shortened it still would shine over the trolling motor when traveling. ( Reminds me of a robot head. 😆)
