Only wish it had a hole or notch punched in the handle end to help wrap a cord handle on it. As is, it's a lovely textured steel as shown in the photo, but the edges are square so it's tough on your hand after a while. Otherwise, a great knife for trimwork.

I chose this particular style to use as a “paring” skiving knife. It came very sharp. I like the hammered finish. It has a tip protector that you can reuse. I haven’t used it yet but I would expect it to work very well with the design. The difference between a regular skiving knife and this one is that you can skive the leather extra thin because with no handle you can get closer to your work piece and keep a flatter angle on the blade. For these reasons I would recommend this knife.

High quality

Incredibly sharp edge. I used it to skive leather and it works very well, better than my self sharpened flat knife by far.... I don't have experience with extremely expensive leather knives but I couldn't imagine anything being much better than this.

This knife is gorgeous. It holds a razor sharp edge forever and is just a pleasure to use. Not sure what else to say about it.

So sharp that if you accidentally cut yourself, it will heal much quicker than you expect… Take proper precautions
