Installed this in my 2015 Boxster S. The daughterboard that is installed inside the head unit fit very well with the XM antenna mount. The Kit I received came with 6 standoffs to adjust the height of the XM receiver inside the PCM. Everything went smooth with the install but allow some time for the install. I admit I was unusually careful, and it took about 6 hours to complete. Wireless works great! Not hard to pair and start up, works as advertised. When I start the car, the unit pairs up automatically and brings up the Carplay Menu. I recommend this for anyone looking to add Carplay to their PCM 3.1

Great addition to my 2016 Porsche Cayenne, perfect integration to the existing PCM3.1 module. Installation is complex if you are not a DIY person, but pretty straight forward if you follow the YouTube videos that are available. If you have a Bose fibre optic amplifier that came as an upgrade option in the Cayenne, you must not forget to transfer your fibre optic cables from old harness to new, which is very easy to do. Also, if you have an XM radio, you will need screw extenders that allow the added module to be properly fixed inside the radio. The right length should be supplied by the manufacturer. Very satisfied with end result and great after purchase support.

I never write reviews but this is definitely needed. I think the lack of written instruction and super clear video guide is what holds this product back from having 5 stars. The kit comes complete with everything needed except for really good instructions. If you are NOT a DIYer or comfortable with replacing a radio in general, this isn’t for you to install. I installed this with a buddy of mine who is more comfortable with wiring - I am far from a car audio installer…and yet, I have not had a single issue. The sound quality is crisp, it never cuts out, and it always connects and simply works. Good bang for the buck.

The CarPlay only works once a while. I tried everything and still no sound. I have been reading up on it on Rennlist and other Porsche forum. They said I need to plug in a dummy plug into the AUX port but still no luck. I was also told by Joyeauto to use Aux mode which I did and still no sound. The interface is definitely not steady and doesn't respond once a while. Don’t waste your money and look elsewhere. There’s another version (just a board) which doesn’t require an external box which is annoying and troublesome.

I wish I had never tried this product. First of all, I contacted them prior to my purchase tao confirm that it doesn't need to be connected to my fusebox and I was assured that it doesn't as it gets its power from the head unit harness. Well, it did have to be connected to ACC. Once connected, the factory backup camera would not work. Then the pcm started rebooting. Of course, the instructions provided were virtually non-existent and they basically have no support. So I decided to just remove it and return it. Once I reconnected my head unit back to its original connections, I noticed that my navigations maps don't load and my phone connects via bluetooth but there is no audio and there is no Audio BT option anymore. Their unit managed to completely destroy my head unit. Now I have to replace my original head unit and/or re-install the firmware both of which will be expensive and I still won't have Airplay capability in the end. UPDATE: I was able to get it all fixed, no thanks to JoyeAuto. The backup camera problem was unrelated. Apparently it doesn’t work if you have your emergency break on. I just never noticed it before. The disappearance of the BT on the original head unit was resolved by updating its firmware which was not easy to find anywhere and dealer wanted to charge $450 to do. Still not sure why it caused that problem but I’m guessing it had to do with the poor instructions. It also requires using an accessory fuse but they don’t tell you which one to use. Instructions also don’t tell you where to tuck the control unit or how to run the wires. In the end, I’m satisfied with the hardware itself but can’t in good conscience recommend this because of the lack of instructions and poor post-sale support.
