Works as advertised. We have well water here from an aquafer that has a modicum of calcium in the water. This filter works well enough that the ice from the machine is very good. Easy to install. The tip fits perfectly into the receptacle and there is no slop after installation.

Works as good as opal ones for me. I have to change often when water is flowing but these are so much cheaper it’s ok . The opal one didn’t last long either to be honest so I’d rather have more and change it often . Also easier to insert into the machine.

Edit: THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Edit #2 I received my replacement filter, and unfortunately, those, too, did not work. The customer service was outstanding, though. After my review a representative from Waterdrop reached out and apologized for the issue. Not only did she apologize, but she offered a full refund and replacement filters to see if they work. They refunded the money within a reasonable amount of time and the replacement filters just arrived. I am hoping that they work as I want to keep supporting companies with such a focus on customer satisfaction. Even if they don’t work on my model I’ll still keep this review at 5 stars just because of the effort made to resolve my issue. I added the filter with the steps seen on the reviews. I soaked in water to get bubbles out. Now I keep getting “Add Water” even though the side tank was full. I did notice the hose running from the side tank only had bubbles. I tipped it over to get more water in, but even after that the water would not flow into the opal ice maker. It removed it and it started making ice again. It seems this filter causes problems with being able to feed in wanted from the side tank.

Update June 2025: although the company reached out to me and offered a refund and new filters to try, the end result was no different! I did a deep clean and put in one of the filters they sent me for free, and in a few days the water reservoir was full of black scum and my ice maker said it had no water, even though it was at the right level. I took the filter out, cleaned it again, then put in an original Opal filter and the ice maker has been perfectly fine. No weird black scum and perfect ice maker performance. I don’t know what is wrong with these filters…I threw the rest away! Originally review: Over the last three months I have used all 4 filters because of disgusting slime/black debris and the machine saying it’s not getting water. I never had this issue with the GE brand of filters and they lasted the recommend 3 months and I never had a problem with slimy water in the reservoir, so this 4 pack was not a good deal. They seem to get clogged even though I’ve followed the instructions and clean my machine as recommended. Unfortunately I wouldn’t buy these filters again, it’s actually a better deal to get the original GE Opal filters that work.

Using a filter in these ice makers ins a must. It really keeps machine fresh and cuts way back on cleaning. They last about a month or 2 before ice maker will keep saying add water. The must get clogged.
