This SmallRig matte box is an absolute game-changer for my Nikon Z6 III video setup. The quality is outstanding, especially considering its reasonable price point. It feels robust and durable without adding any significant weight to my rig, which is a huge plus. The design is both stylish and practical. It attaches to my lens setup effortlessly and securely, which is exactly what you need when working quickly on location. Functionally, it's a must-have. It does an excellent job of blocking lens flare with the included barn-door and gives my footage a much more cinematic and professional look. For anyone filming outdoors with the Z6 III, I'd consider this lightweight and well-designed matte box an essential piece of kit. It’s a fantastic product that delivers on all fronts.

I’ve been really impressed with the SMALLRIG Mini Matte Box Lite. It’s compact, lightweight, and easy to mount, which makes it perfect for run-and-gun setups or travel shoots. Despite its size, it feels solid and well-constructed, with a premium finish that matches the rest of my rig. The included top flag does a great job of cutting flare, and the ability to use standard 4x5.65 filters is a big plus. It fits snugly on my lenses without feeling bulky or cumbersome, and setup is quick and hassle-free. If you’re after a matte box that delivers solid performance without weighing down your setup, this is a fantastic choice. My only criticism is it should include a 86mm adaptor now that canon and sony have F2 lenses

You can pay an arm and a leg for a matt box. I have no clue why they're sold at such a premium as they are a very simple device and are not something I would buy as a necessity. The truth is they are a luxury. I can stop the sun washing out my shot by holding a piece of cardboard over my camera lens and that does the exact same job as a 'French flag' I can buy screw on filters for my lens and they are much cheaper than the slide in type. But it does make these things more easier and more professional looking but lets be honest here ... We really buy a matt box because it makes your camera look bad ass. And on that score it does the job very nicely. And at a reasonable price.

I like this, the build quality is amazing, fits perfectly with most lenses because it comes with many adapters to mount on different sizes, easy to use

Matte box and rings fit well. I also purchased the additional set of adaptor rings so I can fit it to lenses with a smaller diameter. Overall it works well, and construction quality is good, however the (very) weak spot is the filter holder: it is quite difficult to remove and is made of plastic. There's a plastic catch at one end (the opposite end to the white 'slide arrow' marker, and you have to bend that catch back and slide the filter (bizarrely) in the opposite direction to that indicated by the slide arrow to remove the filter holder. Not sure how long it will last in practice, which is a real shame. Thankfully I don't own any 4x5.65 filters so currently don't need to remove the filter holder, but if you do then I'm not sure how long the plastic catch or plastic holder will last.

Mini matte box Lite is very nicely made and well designed. It represents very good value for money and is well priced for this first class quality. Easy to use and adjust. Spare adapter rings could be a bit cheaper or available separately.

Really good lightweight Matt box. Can use normal nd filters still, by screwing into the step up rings.

I have now 3 for these SMALLRIG Mini Matte Boxes, and they are perfect and I would highly recommend them. They very very light weight on the camera but durable and quality made. Another great product by SMALLRIG.

Die obere Flagge lässt sich leicht verstellen und blockt zuverlässig Sonnenlicht oder Streulicht ab, ohne das Bild zu beeinflussen. Die Verarbeitung ist – typisch SmallRig – tadellos: alles sitzt fest, nichts klappert. Ich nutze die Matte Box regelmäßig bei Handheld-Setups und Gimbal-Drehs, und sie fügt sich super ins Rig ein, ohne aufzutragen. Für alle, die eine solide und zugleich kompakte Matte Box suchen, ist die Mini Matte Box Lite von SmallRig ein echter Geheimtipp.

easy to use. attached to my 67mm threaded lens. looks super pro and makes you confident while holding your rig. had no issue attaching my Nisi ND filters!
