Solar Powered Motion Sensor Detector Alarm

Bought 4 , 2 did not work , had to return them. The 2 that did work are great. Plan on re-ordering 2 more. They are used to scare the deer away from our landscaping.

Ordered these to help keep deer out of my corn fields, was very hopeful that it would scare the deer off. After charging I tested them outside one evening and they worked fine outside of having to be very close to them. Wasn't as loud as I had hoped for but was still hoping it would be loud enough for the deer. Loved the flashing lights. One other complaint about them is they are really wide, they would not fit on a 4x4 post, would probably fit on a 6x6. I cut some boards and nailed them to the 4x4's so I could mount the lights on my 4x4's. So after getting them placed out in my fields I tested again, was in the evening when it was getting dark but was still some light out. They worked great other than the distance issue. While patrolling the fields later that night I noticed that when I would drive by them they would not go off. I thought maybe the battery didn't last very long, but then I happened to shine my flashlight on the unit while I drove by and it suddenly went off. So I made a few more laps and drove right next to the lights, any closer and I would have hit them and again nothing happened! But as soon as I shine a light on them and drive by they work! So if you are planning on using these for your home be sure the area you are planning on using them in is well lit. Also don't count on them being loud enough to wake you up unless you have the hearing of a bat. I could barely hear them inside my truck when outside, they sound like they are plenty loud enough up close but outside in the open they are not very loud. Money would be better spent on spot lights with timers.

I liked this item for its concept . Nice and loud voice alarm and strobe light offer a functional and reliable layer of security. This will recharge with sunlight on the day and offer the modes of switching between flashing blue light alert only or to combine with voice as stated earlier. What I am critical is the fact that I didnt get the promised bracket for wall mounting. That component was missing.....other than that I'm mostly happy for this cost effective security device.

This was a great peice of equipment while it lasted (about two weeks). Unfortunately it did not last all that long. I have no idea why it ceased to function it just stopped one day. It was loud enough to wake me if someone was in the back yard and the flashing light was a great add on to the alarm. It was also nice that it did not go off when my dog would walk by it so it was sensative. But it was made cheap so its life was short.

I use 3 of these in my large garden. No damage and the alarms work fine so far. Just make sure that the unit gets enough light to charge the battery. I check it periodically to make sure it is working. The alarm is loud and scary even when I am expecting it. First unit I bought is still working more than a year after I put it up. Starts working a bit before it's totally dark. Small price to pay (compared to putting up a fence around my garden) and seems to work. I am well-pleased.

I liked this solar light (I never used the audio for fear it would frighten me!) just fine. I had it on the roof, in enough sun most of the afternoon, and it worked fine, until beginning of April this year, so it worked very well for exactly 16 months, but I didn't get it up right away, so my 2 years with the insurance may be up. Still, I'd like to know what I can do to recharge it. So after its arrival, it took me I'd say 4 months to get in up on the roof, because that took a ladder, screwdrivers, time. So after all this difficulty with installation, you'd expect it to be longer lasting!! And looking back, I saw I had a warranty too. And it was within the time and so I wrote. This was in March, but NOBODY REPLIED! I hardly every purchase warranties on something. Wonder why. What good are they???

I mounted this in my screened enclosed pool area and had it pointed towards a double set of patio doors. The first night I had to turn the audible alert off as the detector kept going off. I assumed that it just may need to charge a couple of days first. I let it sun charge for two days then turned it on for full use. This thing still kept going off. It rained and the lens filled with water. I relocated the unit to no avail. I unmounted it again and had it on a table to repackage and return but the unit fell three feet onto the patio floor and the white lens and some of the brown plastic broke into many pieces. At least the water drained out. During the false alarms, the flashing blue light was really bright and the audio was a bit corny. This was a great idea, just poorly developed. Wow...not easy to throw away $25.00.

I just bought 2 of the Motion Sensor Alarms and I am Very Happy with them. The Alarm has a Strong range and is really awesome with the Blue flickering lights lights and Voice Alert.This could be a great deterrent for a Burglar at night. I am looking to buy a couple of more of these Solar Alarms . A very unique product a Great price. Would make a Great gift for family.
