Mexican Molcajete with tortilla warmer

I am thrilled with my purchase of The Original Molcajete Mexicano made of authentic volcanic rock. This molcajete is exactly what I was looking for! Absolutely amazing!! I don’t know why a molcajete makes guacamole so much better than any other method, but having this has ensured our family will be buying copious amounts of avocados in 2026. I bought this particular molcajete as a Christmas present for my husband, and it is quite nice. It’s well packaged, comes with seasoning instructions, and makes perfect guacamole. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again as a gift for a friend or family member.

This pestle replacement was almost perfect for replacing a broken one without having to buy a whole new set. It has a good weight to it, feels solid in hand, and works just as well as the original. Only complaint is that it’s rather tough to clean. Simple, well made, and does the job.

Love this Molcajete, but you must remember this is natural volcanic rock. You must cure it as directed or you will be crunching on some volcanic residue. “ Holy Guacamole.” Enjoy!!

Sturdy and works for what my husband wanted. You do have to put some effort into seasoning it, but it’s worth it!

Its actually bigger than I thought! Did the first wash and can't wait to use it.

Looks great, appears to be hand-carved, and is made of authentic material; but unfortunately is unusable to make salsa. The rock is too porous and has been carved too thin (presumably to make it lighter to ship), and as a result it leaks. Badly. The replacement I got after returning the first one also leaked. Returned that one as well, and will try a different brand.
