Keeps My Squirrel Spy Cam Fully Charged — Mission Acorn Possible!
We got this solar panel to keep the camera in our squirrel house charged, and it works perfectly — even on cloudy days. It’s well-priced, easy to install, and keeps the battery full 24/7 so we never miss the nutty drama. Highly recommend if you need reliable power for a camera. The squirrels remain blissfully unaware of the surveillance… for now.

Great solar panel!
The FlexSolar 100W Solar Panel Charger has been an absolute game-changer for our outdoor adventures! I first brought this foldable solar panel kit on a camping trip, and it kept all our essentials—power banks, flashlights, phones, and even rechargeable fans—fully charged. It’s compact and easy to set up, and it worked well even on cloudy days. I now even take it to the beach, where it keeps my large Bluetooth speaker powered all day long! This solar charger is durable, handles the elements like a pro, and is a must-have for anyone looking to stay powered up off-grid, whether camping or just spending a day in the sun. Highly recommended!

Good: 20 watts from each of the 2 USB ports
Works pretty good but be advised: You can only get 20 watts from each of the two USB ports. This means for a single input battery you'll only be able to take advantage of 20 watts of power coming from the panel.

Very Impressed!
10w model. Very impressed! Bought it with my own $ It's sturdy and well built. Today it was producing 5W at 48deg N at 15:00 in the middle of February. Which means to me it will likely produce the full 10 watts in the summertime, at lower latitudes etc. But 5W in these conditions for something this small is pretty great.👍

Good buy, slow charge
To put it into perspective it's about the size of a license plate it is very mobile and easy to carry lightweight but there's no case I would be afraid of somebody sticking it in a backpack it breaking. Very slow charge I plugged my phone into it to test it out I was at 53% and it said 6 hours until fully charged. But it does work great as an emergency backup or I plug my portable speaker into it for work and never have to charge my speaker I had it playing for two straight days almost and never beat at me that it was dying all in all goodbye for the money it is what it is picture looks very accurate

Decent Design, Super Disappointing Output
I bought this as a gift for my husband who was super excited when it arrived. We tested this panel under ideal conditions (clear sunny skies in Virginia), and it consistently peaked around 10W - nowhere near the advertised 40W panel output or 18W USB-C port rating. Using a USB-C power meter and protocol analyzer (photos attached), we saw peak output just over 10V, never exceeding 1A, and no support for USB-C PD (just QC 3.0). The USB-A port performs similarly. In more normal conditions, output drops to 5W or less. That said, the folding design is relatively compact and well thought-out, with the electronics tucked cleanly into the edge, better integrated than the boxes some panels use. If the performance matched the design, this could be a winner. As-is, it's not very useful.

6W mini solar charger will discharge phone in low light conditions
First off, I’ll say that this solar panel (the 6W version) works. It charges phones – in full sunlight – and I suppose it would charge a camera battery such as one used in a Wi-Fi camera while in full sunlight. The problem is that it will *discharge* (as in *draw power from*) a battery in cloudy or low-light conditions. This happens when the battery’s voltage is higher than the panel's output, and the panel doesn’t have a blocking diode (or if a charge controller is not installed in the circuit – a scenario that is not practical or relevant for a 6W panel marketed to supply supplemental charging). I tested this panel with 2 different USB multimeters and found that unless you have full sunlight, it puts out 5W of power VOC no problem, and when you hook it up to charge a device you still get ~5W DC, but you get none…as in 0…amps. That’s also probably expected. What is not expected or wanted is the drawdown of the device battery. In my tests, under this condition the phone battery loses power significantly faster than when it’s sitting idle and disconnected. The conclusion I’ve come to is that this panel has no blocking diode, or if it does it’s faulty. So be aware that while it serves what is arguably the most common use case, it may not work as you need it to on some others.

Awesome solar panels - total workhorses
Ive replaced all of the solar panels that come with my ReoLink cameras with these (I have about 6 of these panels deployed). They are so much more reliable and seem to charge faster and more consistently than the product I paid extra for with the cameras. The only disadvantage is that they are just panels, whereas the solar panels designed by/for the cameras have adjustable mounts. Conversely, these have holes in all four corners which give you more flexibility to screw them on a board, a tree or use zip ties on fences and pipes.

The USB connector weighs 25 grams, the cable probably ads a bit more. I don't know why the USB connector is so big, could there be some kind of regulator in it? If it's not a regulator, it's a shame that it's so big, otherwise you could thread it through the water hose hole on the backpack and connect it to a powerbank in that way. The panel feels qualitative. Gave charging in shaded balcony with gray sky in October. Perfect when hiking for several hours during the summer to charge a power bank. I haven't given it a test for its intended use so I do not know how it will hold up in the long run.
