This Hanes hoodie is very comfortable and well made. The fabric feels soft but still thick enough to keep you warm on cooler days. The fit is true to size and the pockets are very convenient. I’ve washed it several times and it still keeps its shape and color. It’s a great everyday hoodie for a really good price. I would definitely buy it again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gosh, what a great cotton hoodie! Fits very well and is soft and warm and cleans up nicely. Great liner under other jackets. This is my weekend hoodie for work or play. Almost as thick as Champion or Carhartt but at a better price.

First off, I purchased the white hoodie in a size L soley for the purposes of dying it. It dyed wonderfully. Everything is indeed 100% cotton with the exception of the thread and cord for the hood. I'm generally a size M in men's hoodies but based on the comments regarding shrinkage, I went up a size. For me, that was a mistake. By the time I finished a pre-wash in hot water, dried it on high heat in my dryer, dyed it and then repeated the wash and dry process... I would have thought it'd shrink down a whole size. It didn't. It still fits like a L on me. For a female, I have fairly long arms but the size L in this hoodie even after being heat processed, it still ended up being way too big for me in the body width and length of the sleeves. I can't speak for men, but for a woman, just order the usual size you normally take if you wear a men's or unisex hoodie and if it generally gives you a baggy fit already. But if your normal size in a men's/unisex hoodie is a snug fit, then I'd suggest ordering up a size since there is some shrinkage but definitely very minimal. The hood itself is 100% non-functional for those of us that actually have a neck. I don't know why Hanes sews the hood on these so damn small and tight. Even with the size L I got, I still can't even wear it with the hood up. But I guess for the super low price I paid, I can't ask for much. Photos included to show how great the fabric absorbed the dye and the super teenie hood. This is a fairly lightweight hoodie, not t-shirt thin but not thick like Champion hoodies. Softness is about average, not anything to rave about but at least it's not scratchy and stiff.

Perfect fit. Very comfortable and thick

This review is for Hanes Men's Ultimate Cotton Heavyweight Pullover Hoodie Sweatshirt, Deep Red, XX-Large. The hoodie is of thick, heavy material. I washed it in very hot water and tumble dried it on hot air because I wanted it to shrink down to an XL size. What happened was that the length shrank but not the width, leaving the hoodie in a more shorter square shape rather than a smaller rectangular shape. So now it is a way oversized hoodie in width, but a lot shorter in length. The quality, as far as thickness of hoodie is concerned is top. But the way the hoodie shrinks only in length but not in width is unfortunate. It is something to consider when buying this cotton hoodie. Know that cotton will always shrink. But once washed in hot water and dried max heat, it will never shrink again when washed hot and dried hot. So this is why I always wash my cottons hot, and buy them a size larger. Usually the shrinkage works out great. But for some reason this hoodie only shrinks in length, not width, leaving the end result looking like a big square., which is undesirable. Want to give 5 stars for quality. But had to take off for strange way of fabric shrinkage.
