Good Quality, Excellent Weight, Reasonable Price
I have had this red dot for about two years now. I bought it here on Amazon. I had a need for a lightweight, decent quality and affordable optic. This is a good one. I have an astigmatism in both eyes, so I see the red dot and a bit of a snowflake effect. This defect of the eyes has not stopped proper operation of the AT3 optic. I can still hit on target at various ranges. Funny enough... if you turn down the brightness on the optic, the effect of the astigmatism decreases. Myself and my mother have it, but my father and two sisters do not. I could not detect any parallax, being trained years ago at my job to spot it. If you look at the optic and shake your head left and right somewhat quickly, that red dot would dance around if there was severe parallax. The dot remains on the target as I bring my eyes up to it. I can't really say what brightness I use it at- I dial it in if I have time to about what feels comfortable for my eye. One feature I really like is that I can "half turn" the brightness dial to turn the optic off, then repeat the process to get the desired number intensity that I want. I use the bikini covers when I can, but not often. I've misplaced one of the turret caps, but that is my fault. That turret has held up just fine. After purchasing the optic, I noticed that the sales description did not state whether the optic would take the recoil from a 12 gauge shotgun. I got a fast response from the company: "Yes, it will take the recoil of a 12-gauge". So on the shotgun it goes! I have not noticed a loss of zero, even on a Keltec Sub 2000. I have a second unit for another long gun and would consider this affordable option for future needs. I happen to like these tubed, 20mm to 25mm red dots.

Great, once you have it on right
I picked up a Henry Homesteader, and a lot of the reviews suggested adding an optic like a red dot. Once I figured out how to install it (I had it on backwards.) Once set, it works great! Target acquisition is a lot faster and easier. The glass quality and dot quality work well to give you a clear picture of your target. It was also easy to install and adjust (once I had it on the right way!)

It held up to the recoil
My 1st experience with this red dot was great. I ran 300 rnds of 7.62×39. Easy to zero. Held zero. Great sight for the price for sure.

Very good red dot scope for price
Placed on a Winchester Wildcat 22 rifle. Easily adjusted and got on target. Pleased with the price and quality of this scope. Functions as described.

Great sight until astigmatism set in
Nice red dot sight. Unfortunately I have since developed an astigmatism and what used to be a perfectly round dot now looks like a star burst. Same with my other red dot sights. Changed over to prism optics. The don't have the unlimited eye relief of a red dot, but the sight picture is not affected by my astigmatism. Shame, cause I really liked the red dot sight.

Good luck on this product.
Opened box installed battery. Brightness turret won’t move. Can’t turn unit on. Decided to send it back. Was exited to get this sight. Now feeling defeated.

Can’t beat quality for price
Five star optic for the price! I have this mounted on my flux raider and have had zero problems with it. If I had to knit pick any issues it would only be the dial to select the brightness level is overly stiff but not a problem what so ever. I imagine it’s designed that way to keep from moving on something that has much greater recoil than a 9mm.

The real world battery life is more like 500 hours than 50,000
The good: The build quality seems good and the dot is definitely smaller than on the Bushnell trs-25 which I also own. Some people say it looks more like a 3 moa dot but the one I have seems to be a true 2 moa since it covers about 2 inches of my target at 100 yards. I can't really speak to the clarity of the dot because my eyes aren't all that good and with every red dot I've ever used it always looks more like a starburst than a dot. In order to see just the dot clearly I have to use my rear ironsight looking through the small aperture. The bad: As I previously said, I own both the Bushnell trs-25 as well as the AT3 Tactical rd-50. My rd-50 does get 3 to 4 times better battery life than my trs-25 but it is nowhere even close to the 50,000 hours they advertise. Who knows, maybe it would get 50,000 hours on the absolute lowest setting, but the lowest setting is basically useless. On the middle brightness setting (#6) I get about 500 to 600 hours of battery life, which amounts to roughly 3 weeks, before the dot starts to dim and by the end of the 4th week the battery is completely dead. For comparison, the trs-25 lasts 5 to 7 days on setting 6. The takeaway: If I had it to do over again I'd much rather spend $150 on a primary arms advanced micro dot than spend $75 on the rd-50, since I've heard from multiple people who own the primary arms advanced micro dot that you can leave the sight on a medium setting for years without the battery going dead, which is what I'm looking for.
