I believe it because it an extender. Not a full mesh satellite. Review: I ordered the Meshforce system with 2 dots a while back and it works excellent. Later, I ordered this additional dot for the garage to get a better wifi signal to my Ring flood light camera. This dot would connect to the system, then disconnect itself. I was constantly manually trying to reconnect it. I reached out to customer support with good response time. They had me try some troubleshooting ideas which didn't fix the problem and determined the dot as defective. A new dot was quickly shipped to me and it is working flawlessly now. Kudos to Shay and Rowena for prompt customer support. This is a good product, the wifi signal is excellent and the setup is very simple with an easy to use interface.
