Bacopa is often used for memory and cognitive function (brain power/clarity of thought). In my experience using it (for myself and for clients) I've found a definite improvement in my short-term memory and feeling more clear headed (less fuzzy, less brain-fog type thing). However, I use it paired with other herbs that have similar effects so that they work synergistically to strengthen the effect (green tea supplement, blueberry supplement, coQ10, etc) - therefore my experience is not using Bacopa alone. Doctor's best is a brand I personally like as I feel it tends to use better ingredients and often has a more effective dosage than many of the other herbal brands often found at natural food stores. If you're interested in adding natural supplements to your daily regimen I highy recommend you work with a licensed integrative medicine practitioner (integrative medicine physician, nurse practitioner, naturopath, etc.) for the best results and to assure you don't mix something with your pharmaceuticals that might cause you troubles. Do note I emphasize licensed - this doesn't mean the store clerk at the natural food store who's "training" is usually whatever the sales rep for the product has told them or the person who claims to be a naturopath but isn't formally educated or state licensed. Also know that your conventional physician has no training in herbals what-so-ever (unless they've taken additional training in functional medicine or integrative medicine) and therefore they're not a good resource for adding herbals or natural products. Take your advice wisely from folks who are qualified. (Ok, preachy recommendation/disclaimer over..)

Anxiolytic properties, Nerve Growth Factor and others...great stuff. However it seems best if taken later in the day vs earlier, otherwise productivity may suffer. But on the reverse side , staking Bacopa earlier in day with your favorite stimulant may be day ok. Since its relaxing abilities affect motivation when using stimulants be mindful not to push yourself more than a few days or it may back fire and leave you extra tired. Interestingly its relaxing properties have a distinct affect on nerve pain for my sciatica....after looking into it there is much known about Bacopa sciatica refief.....pheeeeew Finally relief and a suprise benefit !! This standardized extract is among the strongest with superb value pricing. Drs Best is among my favorite suppliers.

I think this actually works. My train of thought seems to flow better. Less stumbling for words. Caps are rather large and smell bad. Still worth it! My doctor recommended this product and brand due to actual research and testing on people.

I started taking this about 6 months ago. I noticed a difference in my memory almost right away. I'm only 63 but would forget names or certain things off and on. I don't notice that at all now and have to say this is probably the only thing I'm taking just for memory. I recommend it. Easy to swallow capsules and I just take one a day. So weird smell or anything either and don't upset my stomach.

I don't see a difference taking this, though there individual research on the supplement there is no scientific. It may help internally without your awareness but who knows?

I just started taking it, so it’s a little early to tell if it works. After doing some research, this formulation was ahead of the rest, and the price was by far lowest. I’ll increase my star rating if it works, and I remember to do it. ;-) Edit: My wife and I have been taking this regularly since my original review. I’m adding another star and pleased to say this stuff works! We have both noticed a remarkable improvement in memory. I’m 66 yo and need all the help I can get, lol! I recommend it highly!

I had some issues and needed urgent delivery.The seller accomodated my request and made a quick delivery.. Coming down to product, I think it would be too early to comment on the effectiveness of Bacopa, as it memory enhancement effects show up after 4-6 weeks of consistent use(Even our Ancient Ayurveda testify for its efficacy ).However, the anxiolytic effects(on anxiety reduction)are quite acute and express immediately. Also considering the fact that Synapsa standard are created by CDRI,An India based institution, it gives more hope regarding the legitamacy of this item. Rest can only be said after 4-6 weeks...
