The things he creates are pretty amazing. The sets do work well together
I got this for my 5 year old son for Christmas, along with a couple of other sets of the Learning Resources Engineering sets. The kid loves to build things and he is extremely creative. He doesn't really build the items on the sets, but that's okay. The things he creates are pretty amazing. The sets do work well together, as well as separately, which is pretty cool. The colors are bright and fun and are easy for young hands to manipulate. While the 5 year old is at school, my 2 1/2 year old also tries to build with the sets. He can't do much else than stick the legs into the bases, but he has fun with it. I also like to build with this set. I don't know why, but it's fun. So, it's fun all around!! Buy just one set, or several, but it's good STEM for young kiddos.

Great for learning/building/thought provoking
We just received the Learning Resources Engineer Set in the mail a few days ago and have had a blast playing with all the interchangeable pieces. We thought at first that we would be able to create a full playground (my daughter wanted her little Shopkins to play on it), but in actuality we were only able to create small individual parts of the playground. I would definitely recommend this for kids over 5 as it does require using problem solving, logic & basic engineering practices. The cardboard box is great for storage, and the cards have challenges and some thought provoking questions on them to help kids get creative. Definitely a great purchase - hours of entertainment!

Let your little engineer learn and play while tinkering!
Children can learn a lot about problem solving and cause and effect by tinkering with STEM kits. I love this one and so does my five year old. She loves Legos but I wanted to add a little something new to her selections. Some of these pieces don’t mesh as easily as I would like. She has needed help with attaching some of the pieces. Other pieces don’t hold well and will frustrate her when building her playground. In a perfect world, the pieces would just work well together, but I also like that she has to figure out alternatives along the way. These kits are a little pricey especially considering the feel of the plastic. It doesn’t seem super durable long term or in rough hands. Again, this isn’t problematic for me because I like that it teaches patience and being careful with materials. I recommend for all little engineers!

Fair- not as simple as I'd thought
I got this for my 4 year old boy. It was not as easy/fun as I thought it would be. The pieces wouldn't stay or click together well. It wasn't sturdy, etc. However, if you have little ones with a good attention span who won't get annoyed with how lengthy this could be and that it is not something they can really "play" with once it's put together, then it does the job (to stimulate the brain).

Really fun toy
This is a great toy for kids who love to put things together and build. It’s comes with large cards as the directions, front and back, with simple directions the kids can follow. The only thing is the pieces are interchangeable so you can’t build the whole playground at one time.

Very disappointing product.
Bought as a present for my niece. Was disappointed that the pieces really do not stay together very well at all. They completely fall apart, and we were left reattaching pieces constantly as they fell off all over the place. The swing, when built by instructions, just slowly collapses. It does not come with the piece shown in the photo that is used as a base for the swing to support it, instead, it has to balance on the thin ends of the green sticks. Impossible unless used on thick carpet. You can also only make about 2 designs, and then you have to take designs apart to make the others. The photo makes it seem like you could have all those designs going at once, but that is not the case. I don't think my niece will ever play with this again after our first attempt.

When I first opened this set I was impressed with the individual instruction cards. As a therapist I will be using this for clients and it will be great to give the instructions to one portion of the playground at a time. I also really like how there is a question on each card that encourages thought about the structure he built or a better way to build it. Ex. Which way would provide the most shade? I haven't used it with my clients yet but I messed around with it my self and the prices fit together pretty easily and the instructions are easy to follow. You do need to be 5+ for this, I can't wait for my son to be old enough to play, his inquisitive little brain will love it!

L’idée était excellente mais les pièces fournies tiennent à peine entre elles ou alors sont impossible à emboîter (toboggan). L’enfant ne peut pas jouer avec les réalisations faites car tout tient en équilibre instable.

Excellent kit. My 3 year old is learning to use this, a little complex for his age but he can match the pieces to the instruction pages and bring them to me to help build. He reconstructs once he has seen it built. My only complaint is the purple piece that holds the slide isn’t large enough or it should have been made to click, super frustrating because it falls off so easily.

Las instrucciones son sencillas, mi hijo de 5 años puede hacerlo solo.
