I gave these 5 Stars so this review will show um and not be pushed to the bottom so here goes. There seems to be an awful amount of 4 to 5 star reviews something here smells. Now i will give you the chocolate taste is there. The different textures are represented pretty well here too. But honestly If you enjoy chewing and by enjoying I mean chewing for 5 mins every bite then this is your bar. Once in your mouth you have to chew then more chew then more CHEW. BUT the flavor leaves way before you are done chewing it is honestly like chewing greasy WAX. If you were a fan of them tiny wax juice filled bottles we used to eat as kids then just imagine putting 10 in your mouth and chewing and you will get the point. We wanted to love these bars and I am sure some folks do but I really have to question how many 4+ reviews these have it smells fishy to me.

These bars are awesome! Its not your typical protein bar, these have a very chewy texture but are so good! And the puffs are a special treat thats light, fluffy and a softer-chewy texture. The overall chewy texture of both styles makes these bars great! It reminds me of a thick, fluffy marshmallow covered in dark chocolate (like a marshmallow crossed with a Rolo). Makes for a really good snack alternative when you need some extra protein or just crave something sweet to settle that sweet tooth!

I was really nervous about ordering this pack because of so many others who had issues. But I got lucky. Everything was there and nothing was open. At first, not being used to any Frankenfood, I thought the flavors and textures were abominable. But after getting through 12 of these bars, some eaten halfway, some all the way, I'd say they are the supreme of Frankenfood and did not interfere with my weight loss, did not make me crave them, did hit the sweet tooth spot, and you just have to know what texture you want to get. Another great thing here is that I had zero tummy upset. I'd only eat from a half-a-bar to two bars at a time. And zero colon blow, thank heavens. And I'm sensitive. Most of the regular bars are a chewy, stick-to-the-teeth kind of bar. I don't really love how sticky they are. The puffs versions are kind of like a marshmallow texture, bouncy and chewy like a blown up laffy taffy. I really liked that texture best, and especially the banana. I could see me buying those to have around. Otherwise, the only two flavors that were unbearable was the double chocolate (tasted mostly of strong alcohol) and the churro, which tasted like I just bit directly into cinnamon. Now I love cinnamon, but if I want to just bite on into a pile of that dust, I can and for less moola. Otherwise, any flavor with caramel, peanut butter, mint, cherry, coconut, all the flavors are on point. I just think the satisfaction is better with the puffs variety, since they are easier to chew and make more sense, kind of like a funky marshmallow. The real unusual part for these bars is they do not taste natural, and they have a super chewy texture. Also, if anyone says, "I put mine in the freezer and it tastes like those frozen Snickers bars," they are NUTS and LYING. Do NOT stick these in the freezer. They turn into rocks. Period. Anyhoo, I will probably pick up a couple boxes of these to have on hand. But I think given how sciencey they are, I can see the cost. You could get the same flavor profiles another way. But if you want a candy bar that's not as bad, these are a good call. Of course, there will always be cleaner, healthier things to eat. But I doubt there's something better in the candy bar world. The only comparison I can make is Quest Bars, and those taste worse...far, far worse.

I am on the Keto eating plan and every "Keto" bar I have tried has been nasty. They generally taste like sawdust. Built Bars are WAY different. They almost taste like regular candy bars. I've never been much of a candy eater but every now and then I want something sweet and Built Bars fill the bill.

I have been hearing some of my favorite fitness people on YouTube raving about built bars. I read some reviews on amazon on them and was kind of reluctant to get them off of Amazon and thought maybe it would be best to get them from the direct site. I was anxious to try them though and decided to get them off of Amazon. I was disappointed when I opened the package that the bars were smashed. The taste of the bars are good for low sugar/keto bars. I'm definitely not a picky eater and will say that they are hyped up but I can appreciate that they are a palatable protein bar that doesn't taste protein-ish. I will order built bars again but I want to get them directly from built bars website as I have a feeling they will even taste better. Overall I would recommend them as the best me to/diabetic friendly etc protein bar.

My family & I love these protein bars! For starters the taste is amazing and the macros are great! There is a slight aftertaste but for 17g of protein & 130 calories? It can’t get any better! Highly recommend built bar!

I have to start with I never write reviews. So for me to write anything there has to be a significant problem with a product. I have been buying Built Bars for a couple of years on the recommendation of a nutritionist. My teenagers and I would grab them to eat while we were at work or during sports and they’ve been perfect. The bars were large and very high-quality. As many others of posted the size of the bars has changed significantly. I just recently ordered the box of the 12 variety pack. It said Built Bars in product description so I incorrectly assumed that they were all Built Bars. I didn’t blow up the picture because I didn’t really think I had to. The box came totally opened with the puff bars in there. If you look the puff bars are 40 g and the built bars are 49 g ( weren’t they 56 g before?) so you are paying a ton of money for very little product. The banana puff bar is absolutely disgusting in texture and in taste. Forget the size. The chocolate layer is also flaking and crusting everywhere and getting all over my clothes or the floor. We had really thought that we had found a great protein product even though it has always been expensive. But now the change is so significant we need to be on the hunt for something else especially at this price.
