Worked perfectly on my 228i doing my first DIY oil change. Perfect fit without being too snug. Fit finish and quality are all beyond my expectations. Just an fyi for anyone doing their first oil change on a 228i regarding resetting the service oil notification. I watched all the videos online but couldn't seem to replicate their results and reset the computer. The trick is lightly push the start button 2 times to put the car in the awake position without starting the engine. Hold down the odometer reset button in the lower left corner of the speedo display area. The car then displayed the option to reset the oil setting and you must again hold down the odometer reset button to have the reset done. Very simple once you do it the first time. Also for first time changers, on my model at least, the plastic oil pan replacement plug must be included in the filter kit, which I bought from a dealer to assure the correct one and to insure no warranty problems. That plastic plug requires a #10 allen wrench to loosen. The plug has a flange around it that seems to resist you turning the plug with clicking "stops". Not to worry, you aren't stripping anything when you hear that and loosen the plug. Make sure not to over tighten when inserting the new plug. As for this Motivx wrench, buy it. Great tool at a reasonable price.

My original oil filler cap remover tool (black) fits very tight on the OEM plastic oil filler housing cap & hard to remove when done, so i upgraded it to the amazing perfect CNC aluminum "Malo Industries" (made in Canada) Oil Filler housing cap but the black metal oil cap removal tool doesn't fit and will cause damage to it if used.on.my BMW F10 n55 engine! So i searched for one that will fit and found the Motivx Tool oil cap removal made in the USA and quality is amazing. A reviewer stated that it was a bit loose on the n55 oil cap and to me that was perfect because that means it will fit on my Malo Industired custom aluminum oil filler cap. Once i got it i tried it and YES it was still a bit loose on my custom oil cap. But all i did tp fix it was ad the paper that came with my cap as shown on the pics and it fits snug. Will be able to torque the cap with no problems while protecting the burgundy color finish. A little pricy but worth for quality! This MotivX remoal tool will last for a long time when used on BMW's but be warned, its paint matte finish will wañear out the moment u use it and wont lool pretty unless you 2K clear coat it when i first get it!

It's pricey but you get what you pay for. Probably used this on 100 oil filters by now and dropped it on concrete who knows how many times and saturated it in brake cleaner countless times and it's never let me down and still looks brand new. It just works perfectly every time. Absolute beast of an oil filter socket

I very rarely leave product reviews, but I had a tough time identifying the proper oil filter wrench for my 2021 BMW X7 M50i, and I'm proud to report that THIS IS IT. Fits the filter housing snugly and works perfectly. You just need a 15/16 socket and wrench to attach to the filter tool and you're good to go!

So first and foremost this is the highest quality canister filter wrench I have ever come across . I bought this for use on the multiple BMW cars we own and I could not be happier. Fits snug but doesn’t lock itself on when in need of removal. Beautiful craftsmanship and attention to detail. I would highly recommend this to anyone .

The tool is well made and looks great. There was a bit of play but it did the job well. When I removed the filter housing the tool was lodged on the filter and I had to twist it off, but was not hard to do...when I replaced the filter the tool again became stuck after I gave it a final tightening, but that was easily resolved by simply switching the ratchet to "off" and lightly pulling the ratchet handle, came right off...

I have a 2017 BMW X5 with the 4.4L twin turbo. I have been changing my oil for years and this wrench has worked great! Will recommend to anyone!

This is a nicely machined socket and fit the oil filter housing cap perfectly on my 2020 BMW X5 m50i. Made it easy to break loose and torque back to 40nm, then loosen 180 degrees, then torque again to 40nm. I debated on some of the cheaper ones and figured this looked like a nicely machined piece and had good reviews. Glad I went with it, because it's nice to use good tools.

Tried various other "tools" to remove filter cap - couldn't get it to budge. Perhaps it was overtightened? In any case, this tool works like a charm.
