Pros: It connects quick and easy with the smartphone app. Remote controlled adjustments are a big game changer for adjusting settings without introducing handling noise to a recording, especially when not able to stay right beside the unit the whole time. And for monitoring levels when not using 32-bit float setting. But it hasn’t been all smooth. Cons: It works, but it seems not as stable a connection as I hoped for. My first experience: Extreme delays and frequent bluetooth drops. Not sure if it’s the bluetooth adapter or the recorder, that’s causing it. Did some problem solving research. Found out that some specific settings needed to be turned off to eliminate extreme delays (lagging) and the frequent drops. So I did and it significantly improved. But it’s still sensitive and feels like it could drop the connection anytime. However, it works usably since. Since there are no other alternative options, this will have to do. And I’m glad it at least works. Workarounds would be to make sure that most settings are correctly set before starting a recording. Overall, it’s still worth having. And the pros are such a big help, that they outweigh the cons, as long as it works.

Me parece estupendo poder monitorear y subir o bajar ganancia sin acercarme a la grabadora. Lo que veo un error de Tascam es que no venga internamente incluido y tengas que hacer un gasto extra para tenerlo.

Connects easily, and via bluetooth only introduces about a second of lag, which for something like this, is actually quite good. So, it does make it usable on your phone or tablet.
