This product actually does what it says it does. The instructions stated (for iOS) to open the voice memos app and try to record something. When I started talking it picked up nothing. This is small and compact and clicks right into place. I feel for the $16.99 I paid for this, it’s well worth it.

You can mute, turn off, not allow -etc etc , but that will not stop someone from listening to your every word! Really - it happens , it happened to me , and utilizing weak security protocols from my FORMER cell provider , my entire identity was stolen by someone access my phone illegally, one they captured my passcodes via my camera and my information thru 24 / 7 ease-dropping, by the time it was discovered it was too late , I would not dare allow anyone to use a phone in my home , or around me without this mic-block - it works and my hackers tried to disable it remotely with no success! I keep extra ones that I let people around me use to keep our conversations private , at my house you can leave your phone in your car, or use the mic-Locke!

I bought one for type c and a audio jack for my laptop and tested them. Plugged it in, used audio and camera to test. Seems as it worked when plugged it but when replaying the footage by unplugging the device. I heard my own voice, to actually block audio you need to really is to desolder the microphone from ur phone. Take it apart along with the camera as a "optional" choice. I usually just use masking tape for that and can take it off when I want to use it. Just use a external microphone from headphones to speak to someone.

Wish it was a little bit longer so it would pull out of the laptop easier.

I've used this in two devices, it drains the battery rapidly for some reason. Maybe useful if having a sensitive convo and you're paranoid but useless for permanently blocking a mic you don't want.

Windy day, tried to insert it; but it fell on ground, bounced somewhere and disappeared.

Works intermittently. Very disappointing.
