This workbook has been perfect for helping my child practice early reading skills. I really like this Learn-to-Read book. I did it with my four kids who are homeschooling. My two who aren't reading did well in it and I think it was a good start on reading skills. It was right at the level of my kid who is learning to read. And I made my reader do it too. She was a little bored with it, but I felt like it was good review and writing practice. I like most that this workbook methodically builds on skills and includes lots of tracing practice. It begins with leter sounds, moves on to blends and digraphs and then a few sight words. I get frustrated because many school workbooks jump all over the place to different skill levels. If there is any reason that this book should not get 5 stars it would be that some of the content is not as basic as I would like. Some very common blends and sight words were missed (st and er come to mind). Other than that I'm very pleased and will probably buy the book in the future when my other kids are reaching reading age.

Awesome learning aid! My son loves his activity books and voluntarily uses the every day if not multiple times a day. The pictures stories are super fun.

Grands love it!

Love love love! My 4 year old and I will sit down and do one page a day (sometimes more!) and it’s the perfect amount to keep him focused but retain information. They have 5 activities to do per letter and I’ve found it helps to have my kiddo repeat the phonic sound after each time he writes the letter. Since starting this book he has now started sounding out the first letter in many words!

This is a great book for helping kids learn at home and supplementing what they do in school. The quality of the book is good too, and I’ll definitely look for more variants if there are any available. Highly recommended for parents who want to give their kids a little extra practice in a fun way. It would also make a thoughtful gift for preschoolers just starting out with reading, since it’s both enjoyable and educational.

It's a great learning tool

Grandson loves it. Easy to use at home with him as he couldn’t go to school this year due to January birthday. Now he won’t be behind his friends.
