Taza Chocolate, 95% Wicked Dark Amaze Bar, 2.5 oz bars, case of 10

Taza offers a unique chocolate experience that I highly recommend. The texture is an enjoyable gritty one that needs to be tried to be properly understood. I've never had a Taza product I didn't enjoy. As I tend to eat a low sugar diet in general, the 95% dark is perfect. The bitter is perfectly balanced by a light sweetness. I have had more complex chocolates, but it isn't bland. The texture, in my opinion, really makes this chocolate bar. My experience with the shipping was good. It looks as though Taza had a local chocolate/cheese company ship the chocolate to me, so it had a short journey to me. The local shop (shout out Caputo's) did a good job insulating the chocolate. I 100% appreciate that Taza did not have the chocolate shipped through an Amazon facility because so little care is put into shipping products from Amazon warehouses. It seems that some people have had issues with their orders being shipped properly, so I hope that this is a practice that Taza is implementing on a broad scale. For anyone concerned about this, I would recommend reaching out to Taza before ordering and seeing how your order would be handled.

Great taste and ingredients. Love the product. Best chocolate bar on the market, I think. Only negative is Amazon will not deliver to their pickup location (for no good reason).

I have tried quite a few others, and this is by far my favorite. I like that it's a stone ground, very high 95% dark, organic chocolate which is direct traded from the growers and paid for at better than "fair trade" prices and that it only has 4 grams of total sugar per 2.5-ounce (70 gram) bar. I find the slightly gritty texture to be unique and exotic!

Unpleasant taste

We were pleasantly surprised how much we like this dark chocolate bar, especially after reading some of the negative reviews (e.g., sandy, gritty taste, etc.). We really enjoy its very chocolate-y taste and the lack of an oily (buttery), too sweet (sugary) taste that most chocolate bars have, including many dark chocolate bars. The amount and taste of sugar is simply too common in dark chocolate bars that claim to be healthy. If you like sweet milk chocolate bars, you probably will NOT like this product. However, for a healthier (IMHO) chocolate bar, this "Taza Organic Amaze Bar 95% Stone Ground, Wicked Dark" is one of the best (esp. if the CR review of metals in chocolate is accurate and helpful information). The obvious biggest negative is the price (a common story, sad to say, about "quality products and foods."

I LOVE this chocolate! After I took up running and lost a hundred pounds this past year, I had to find foods that were healthy and energizing. I gave up sweets except for a couple of pieces of chocolate a day. I think I tried every single kind over the past year, and this one is, in my opinion, the best! I love the hefty texture and the fact that it isn't bitter, yet not cloyingly sweet. It really tastes like I feel chocolate should taste! When I finish my long runs, I love a cup of really good, strong coffee and chocolate with a few cashews. It's a perfect way to replenish my energy in a healthy way, and is a real luxury, a way to enjoy something delicious without feeling worried about it being bad for my health. I've been able to get off all the medicines since I'm no longer pre diabetic, or have high blood pressure, or feel depressed or have arthritis from the extra weight! I love delicious food, and don't feel like I'm sacrificing or denying myself. Finding great foods I really love that are good for me, eating less and enjoying it more, has been a complete revelation. To feel good about something you love, knowing it's not hurting you, or anyone else, and actually doing some good, is fantastic!

Based on the reviews I expected a grainy bitter chocolate bar. But while maybe a touch grainier you really can’t tell the difference. And it’s delicious. I’ve had quite a few 90-95% chocolate bars and this is definitely my favorite of all time.

Kind of expensive but the quality is there. If I buy Lindt it can be 3.5 at Bjs or 5 or more anywhere else. Rather but this brand. Try to get some high quality Dark chocolate. One of my only non Carnivore Vices beside Organic coffee.

A tad bitter. But great substitute for dark chocolate
