02c 12T Machine light

Really like the brightness of the light and the versatility of positioning the light. The magnetic base is NOT strong enough for the size of the light. I have several Grizzly lathes & Mills. The magnetic base won't hold on the side metal or tables. I have many gauges with magnetic bases and when engaged I can't pull off of the metal. The magnetic base on this light lifts right off. Can't keep it positioned correctly. Love the light- need a stronger the Magnetic Base. Will be sending back. Will try to find a light like this without a base and then purchase a good magnetic base to make a light. Update: The Seller contacted me and told me that they are sending me another base the T12. I will be keeping this light and also purchased another model with the T12 base. The Stonger base works great! Customer Service is 10 Star!!! EDIT: I was unable to write another review even though I purchase another Light. These 14W with the 12T Magnetic base works GREAT. I now have an additional LED light on our Lather and also have one on our Mill. The light is BTRGHT! The arm works well and holds it's position and the 12T Base doesn't move once attached. Would highly recommend for use on Mills, Lathes. Drill Presses-Basically anything you need to have a moveable light. The Customer Service is the BEST I give this seller a TEN STAR rating along with the light!

Mag base works well, good lighting. Lamp does unscrew easily when adjusting.

VERY BRIGHT,., MAYBE TOO BRIGHT ON SHINEY WORK PIECES. ALL LED'S BY DESIGN HAVE A PULSE OF LIGHT OUTPUT, WHEN USED WITH ROTATING MACHINES ITS A LITTLE WEIRD, BUT BETTER THAN NO LIGHT

Magnetic larger than expected, holds very tight.

This is one of the most expensive lights of this type on Amazon. I selected it because it had specs that would have also made it one of the brightest. In order to get better coverage of the work area I ordered two of these lamps. After setting up one of them it became clear that I would probably be sending both of them back. There are three main problems, (1) The overall light output is low. While placing an object directly in the center of the light and in close proximity will produce a glaring light in a small area, the area of coverage and total output is quite small. It is not useful for my purpose which is simply the illumination of the small working surface of a Tormek T8 sharpener and the examination of the piece being sharpened (2) The gooseneck is of poor quality. Although it is so stiff that attempting to re-position the lamp also moves the magnet (damaging the surface it is on), the lamp frequently does not stay in position, in part because of the crude way the gooseneck attaches. The range of positions for the lamp is also pretty limited. (3) The magnet is too weak, and frequently breaks free when manipulating the lamp, I am concerned that it may fall off at an inopportune moment, causing damage to the lamp or injury to me. Due to poorly machined surfaces and frequent movement, the magnet is prone to damage the surface it is on. In summary, I find the light to be physically large, stiff, and awkward to use, while simultaneously failing to provide satisfactory lighting, and costing more than almost all of the competing products. If you have this light and it meets your needs I am glad for you, but personally I would not consider purchasing this product again. Hope this is helpful.

amazing light but the magnet function that i wanted to work so bad does not. its just not powerful enough to mount on the side of the band saw. every morning i find that it has slid down the back of the saw. and yes it is a steel smooth surface.

I mounted this on my lathe. It's very flexible and able to illuminate the top, end, and sides of the work piece. It will stay in whatever position I place it. It would be nice if it was another 4 inches longer. Then the light could reach the front of the work peace.

This is a impressive shop lamp, fully industrial quality and build. The light is very bright (1400 lumens is about 14 LED watts), but with very cold (~6k colour warmth) which is great for a shop since it provides very clear monochrome light. None of this is a surprise, but I can confirm the advertisement is correct. This product has a very heavy and strong magnetic base that holds very firmly to thicker steel sections of machinery - not thin sheet metal). I did test it on a vertical section and I could slide it with a bit of force, but it didn't fall off or anything of the sort. To be fair, I didn't remove the protective oil-paper on the bottom (covers the machined steel base), which likely weakened its hold to some extent. I settled on putting them (I immediately bought a second one) on horizontal surfaces since they are available near the work surfaces/areas on my lathe and bandsaw. Moderate vibration isn't a problem, but I cannot vouch for heavy vibration. Suffice it to say, when the magnetic base is in place it doesn't move and isn't easily removed without "turning off" the magnet. It is worth noting that the magnet is not electronic ... it doesn't fall off when the power is taken away. Instead, the on/off dial/switch seems to move something inside (likely a rare-earth magnet) against the bottom steel so once in place, it stays there until the dial is turned irrespective of power being applied. Great lamp!

diese led arbeitsleuchte ist hervorragend: sehr hell, sehr variabel einsetzbar, robust, magnet ausreichend stark. an der drehbank auch unterhalb der handauflage gut zu gebrauchen, insbesondere tiefen objekten und hinterdrehten schalen etc.

Light is bright enough but magnet not strong enough to hold in a vertical position

I am an older guy and light is plenty bright enough for my needs. The magnet holds well on cast iron drill press and band saw tables. It's a bit weaker holding onto on some thinner metal tool bodies as expected but still pretty good.

Wir haben diese Lampe weil wir an einer Maschine wenig Licht hatten. Diese Lampe hat einen sehr starken Elektromagneten verbaut was bombenfest hält. Sehr gutes Produkt und im Verhältnis zu anderen absolut erschwinglich
