Okay, so Iive in an older mobile home. It has a "peak" down the center of the living room, kitchen and my bedroom. Unfortunately, in my bedroom, the peak is where the old fan/light was mounted and when I took it down, the dumb person who put it up used a straight/flat piece of wood just barely screwed into the ceiling at each corner...to hold up that heavy beast of a 1980s fan!!! I'm amazed it never just fell on the bed! Anyway, that old fan quit working and I had a really nice, new, smaller smart fan to replace it. Th problem is that peak...when I finally took the old fan down, that piece of wood fell and what I ended up doing was gerry-rigging the new, very lightweight fan with some 2" bungee hooks to hold it to the metal plate that I did screw in "tentatively" to the sloped peak. NOW, for these wooden wedges - they were inexpensive enough and I figured it couldn't hurt...two of these wedges with the wide edges together make the ceiling around the fan/light mount FLAT!!! Woo-hoo! I glued and screwed a pair on either side of the hole with the wiring, mounted the metal circle piece that the base for the fan attaches to and then the fan/light portion just has to do a half turn onto that base section and it's now finally mounted and firmly, FIRMLY on the ceiling! Again may I say WOO-HOO! Sometimes you gotta think outside the box and when I saw these, my mind said, yeah, those just might work...and they did! I have a cheap light fixture in the kitchen that isn't on the peak, but to one side so it is at an angle. I have been wanting to replace it, but wanted a fan/light like in my bedroom. Two of these wood wedges, again, on either side of the wiring hole made the mounting area flat - works for my new kitchen fan/light! Cheap, easy fixt for angled ceiling areas where you want a flat spot to mount a light, a fan, or whatever. I'm happy with how these worked for me!

I have a security camera sitting on my kitchen counter that points at the cat’s food and water dishes on the floor. Unfortunately, the Tapo (TP Link) camera has a limited vertical adjustment. These wedges were the perfect solution!

Raw sanded wood 4 sides. End is rough cut, but no splinters.

These wedges were easy to use for the repairing our cane child's high chair that was great, great- grandfather's.
