Works when others won't!
This replaced a TP-Link RE300 which would not play nice with Virgin Media hubs. Unlike the TP-Link, the D-Link repeater does not separate the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands (at least it's not obviously configureable) - however this was not needed as even a couple of fussy IoT devices that claimed to need the 2.4Ghz WiFi, connected just fine. The D-Link app to set up the repeater is also not quite as easy as the TP-Link one, but it gets the job done. The D-Link repeater has worked flawlessly since installation. It doesn't foul the plug socket next to it. The range is very good. It's very useful that you can make the password for the extended WiFi different to the main WiFi, a feature lacking in many other devices (including the TP-Link). Very happy with the purchase and at £10-£15 as at the time of review, the value for money is unquestionable. Saved me time, effort and ££ compared to my other options of running cables or using Powerline adapters.

Complete waste of time - returned for a refund.
Difficult to set up, connected to my wifi ok and it worked for one day, it lost the connection and the only way to reconnect was to reset and go through the entire set-up again. did this twice more and each time lost the connection. The final straw was it connected and extended my wifi as it should with a good strong signal, it worked for two days then disconnected and would not reconnect again. Enough is enough, going to get a more expensive one with better reviews.

Easy to install
Cured my dead spot for camera and door bell outside but tablets use a lot more power than when connected to the router, I am guessing they are using it searching for wireless signal

Excellent easy to install works perfect
Had problems following Vodafone outage and all of a sudden needed a booster. Works perfect from Amazon only £15. Vodaphone wanted to put me on new contract and up my price substantially. Not fair in my book.

Don't be put off by the low price. It's is an excellent extender.
I bought this for its WiFi 6 feature since it would match the Virgin Media Super 5 Hub which also has WiFi 6. Before starting I made sure all my devices which had been linked to my old extender where now logged on to the Super 5 Hub then followed the extenders instructions. I got it set up on my first attempt. I consider myself very lucky to get it for the price I did.

Intrusive software FAIL. It had one job, FAIL.
DLink wants email or FB or Google or Apple ID just to login to APP. FAIL. There is no reason for this. What's the point of intrusive software that has the potential to spy on you and your network, report back to wherever and have no purpose unless you let them spy on you. No way on earth should this be permitted. It's selling point is AI but to get this you need to give up privacy. FAIL Web portal login: dismal experience. Login with code then forces password change. FAIL Will NOT act as a repeater/ethernet bridge OR WIFI off and just as ethernet client/bridge. FAIL Reset with a pokey thing takes at least a minute to hold down and reset. Dismal experience. FAIL It takes at least two minutes to reconnect once unplugged and replugged back in. Dismal expereince. FAIL It forces you to use a naked browser to login. Dismal. FAIL Basically useless, intrusive, dismal exerpeince, slow, and woeful. AVOID this piece of junk. It's dismal and e-waste. I'm technically competent and not a noob.
