Catwalk by TIGI Curls Rock Amplifier Curl Cream, Anti-Frizz Moisturizing Finisher for Defining and Styling with Sunflower and Jojoba Oils, 5.07 oz

I have used TIGI Curl Amplifier for years now, when it was no longer available in stores I searched for it on amazon, It does a great job of adding texture and curls to my hair out it being frizzy. It adds volume and to my naturally curly hair without giving it the wet look. The smell is amazing and it works on whatever length my hair is. Its a great value for the money, a little product goes a very long way, just rub it through your hair and then scrunch your hair until you have the curls you want. A go to product for sure for me.

I cannot rave enough about TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock Amplifier — this product has absolutely transformed my curls, and I’ll never go without it again! First off, let’s talk about texture and hold. The consistency is like a creamy serum — not too thick, not too runny — and it glides through the hair effortlessly. I use just a quarter-sized amount (a little goes a long way!), and immediately I feel my curls being defined without that dreaded crunchy or stiff feeling. My hair stays touchably soft, yet the curls hold ALL DAY. Before this, I struggled with frizz, limp waves, and inconsistent curl patterns. My curls were either too puffy or completely undefined by midday. But with this amplifier, my curls are springy, juicy, bouncy, and beautifully sculpted — and that lasts until my next wash day. Even in humid weather, it controls frizz like a dream, keeping everything looking polished and fresh. What blew me away is how it enhanced my natural curl pattern. It gave structure and shine without weighing my hair down or making it greasy. My hair actually looks healthier since I started using it. I’ve had friends and even strangers ask me what I use on my hair because it looks so hydrated, shiny, and full of life! And the scent? Divine. It’s a clean, slightly citrusy scent that lingers just enough to make you feel fresh without being overpowering. If you have wavy, curly, or coily hair, you need this in your arsenal. I’ve tried dozens of curl creams, mousses, and gels over the years, but nothing compares to what this one does for my hair. It’s a total curl confidence booster. As far as the alcohol in ingredient list: Panthenol is a humectant, emollient and moisturizer. It binds to the hair shaft readily and is a frequent component of shampoos and hair conditioners (in concentrations of 0.1-1%). It coats the hair and seals its surface[citation needed], lubricating the hair shaft and making strands appear shiny. (Wikipedia). There is also an interesting article at [...]Might shine some different perspectives on the matter. Bottom line, do your own research and decide what is "safe" for your hair. I never tried the previous version of this product, so I can't compare, but I am very pleased with the way this product is able to minimize frizz, define and hold my curls. I have long (mid back), 3b thick curly hair...lots of it! I like the creamy texture and I believe this contributes to the the frizz being minimized because it clings to the hair shaft. I somewhat follow the "curly girl" method and I use devacurl products or sulfate free shampoos, etc. Although I think this product has great hold, I have a routine that gets my hair to look exactly like I want. I am crazy about my hair, every ringlet has to look nice so, after I wash my hair, I use a leave in conditioner like Mixed Chicks (anyone can use, I am Latina not mixed), or Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie, I finish with oil, like argan oil, jojoba oil, etc. Then I apply this product evenly throughout. I somewhat allow to air dry, usually don't have a lot of time so I spray a heat protectant and diffuse with my head flipped over. No crunchy hair! Make sure you don't use tons and if you do, try scrunching it with oil to reduce crunchiness. This lasts me 3-4 days! I just wet my hair each day and it revives my curls. I sleep with my hair in a high pony tail. There are soooo many products and methods you can use, and sadly, there is no one method fits all approach. Trial and error is the only way to know what your hair likes and how you would like your curls to look. Don't give up, curly hair is FABULOUS!!

Favorite products for slick back hair styles for curly hair. Other gels don’t last through the day. The texture is in between a gel and a cream and is quite thick. Plus, it smells amazing!

As a fan of Tigi Bed Head Foxy Curls Contour Creme, I gave TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock Amplifier a try at the recommendation of my stylist. It achieved similar results to Foxy Curls on my curly shoulder length hair, a good hold and shine, no frizz and not crunchy. However I will not purchase this product again in its current packaging. At 7" in height with the cap on, the pump container is twice the height that it needs to be for 5.07 fluid ounces of product leaving the actual base of the container mid way up the container when I received it. The base continues to rise as product is used. Not only do I find that to be deceptive packaging but for me the design made using the product problematic in the shower. As the container gets lighter with product use, the massive pump and its cover had become so top heavy that is kept falling over the rail and off of my shower shelf on to my bare feet (ouch!) before hitting the shower floor. After this happened about 3 times I turned the container over which only made the hollowed cylinder fill up with shower water. Today it fell for the last time on to the shower floor and into the trash as I made my way to write this review. Since lots of curly hair care techniques usually begin with wet hair, this product should be better designed for use in the shower. Although it may not be as eye-catching, I would suggest a tube- same for Foxy Curls so we can use the last bit of it.
