Yes, the installation is more complicated than I expected, however I looked into every aspect that seemed odd, and there is a good reason for everything. The manual font is small, however it is available digitally. If you aren't good at following directions and figuring things out, I'd recommend hiring someone to install. It was missing the tank fitting, so when I went to get one, I also got a 1/4" valve for a shutoff. Otherwise, you have to turn off your sink water to work on it. Not for everyone, but I like it.

Warning Don't Buy This. If you have any problems you will be stuck with it. Our 3M RO didn't work and there was no refund or replacement. GrandCloseouts said we needed to contact the manufacturer and the manufacturer said they don't guarantee things sold by GrandCloseouts and that we needed to contact GrandCloseouts. Nobody took responsibility. We installed it exactly as directed and it worked fine for a few days. Then the water flow went to a trickle. We checked the pressure of the tank and checked all connections but nothing helped. It must be a faulty filter but they refused to do anything. This is my first bad review. I usually don't bother because other things that didn't work were less expensive. But now I'm stuck with this thing because it would also cost so much to send it back. I figure the least I can do now is warn others that they might get scammed.

This is a good deal, had a professional install mine. This model might be discontinued now, so how long the replacement filters are going to be available is not clear. After filtration the water shows around 30 ppm on my TDS tester (it was 400 or so originally).

Relatively simple install. Kit was missing a connector. Unit delivers good quality water and sufficient water volume. Regeneration cycle is loud.

Just a word to help you with your install: my manual does not show that the plastic spacer needs to be installed next to the shim under the faucet. Without this the nut will push against the other tubes and cause a leak. I had to look online at a manual for a different water filter to see how this was supposed to be used. Good luck!

This is a very bad product. Being 3m I expected something that was high quality and at least able to be installed easily. However this is not the case. The instructions are terrible to say the least. First the saddle drain is broken. It arrived broken with a crack in it. It's made out of dollar store plastic. They should have spent 50 cents more to improve the design. So that needs to be replaced. Second the faucet is leaking. It's leaking from the bottom because the O ring in the faucet does not sit properly as it should. That part is only held together by friction so of course it's going to leak. Lastly when you try to install the faucet, the faucet nut it's the other 2 tubes that are directly next to each other. But since the directions are terrible you don't realize there is a spacer that's kept separate from the faucet. Who thought of that? Just put the spacer with the nut so people know a spacer is needed. Overall I do not recommend this at all!
