How smelly is the device when decarbing? I’m aware that it must release some pressure as otherwise I’d think it would be damaged

If you don't remove the cover from the Glass during decarboxylation, you would barely notice the smell during cooking. Once the lid is open, the smell comes out. There are three dents on the lid to balance the air pressure, you are right. Since POT by NOIDS cooks gently, the air exchange between in and out of the Glass is kept on a minimum level. If you want to avoid the smell, remove the lid after the herbs cool down to room temperature, or do this step outdoor when the herbs are still warm/hot. There are several Youtube reviews of POT by NOIDS, some of them talk about the smell, could be helpful.

is this better than the merlin 400? When it comes to extracts would you get the same type of extract as the merlin400 full spectrum extracts?

Hi there, this product can product the similar type of extract as Merlin400, but there are differences: 1. POT by NOIDS is an overall machine that activates, infuses and extracts. Besides full-spectrum RSO/FECO, it also makes cannabutter, cannaoil, and vape juice. Merlin400 is specialized in only extraction, but Merlin400's vacuum design allows more terpenes in the extract. 2. POT by NOIDS comes with reusable parts made of glass and medical grade stainless steel, so you don't need to purchase filters and accessories down the road. Merlin400 uses disposable filters, you will need to continue buying them as you go.

Can this be used to make an ethanol extraction used for smokable dabs / wax, or is it only for cooking / edibles?

Yes and yes, the ethanol extraction function makes good old wax, it can be used for both dabbing and cooking ;)

It's nearly life-changing. Easy, accurate, and reliable. Clean-up is a breeze. Although expensive, this device will pay for itself several times over, and looks and feels like it's built to last. I've processed four infusions so far, and now have months worth of product. I really appreciate the fact that I can choose strength and strain, and infuse a consistent, full-spectrum product. Bought this about 1.5 ago now and it's still going strong. I use it for oils, tinctures, and my only reservation is that it should of came with the evaporation attachment.

LE meilleur de sa catégorie. Simple a utiliser, facile a nettoyer, de la taille d'une bouteille d'eau 1l. BRAVO a veux qui ont permis a ce robot de voir le jour. J'ai beau chercher , je vois pas de defaut. Je regrette de pas l'avoir trouvé plus tôt.
