Excellent companion to the lesson book!
I really like the Faber piano series- the lesson and theory books go hand in hand, and help explain the concepts to the beginning student.

Great series for a piano student
This is a great series for piano instruction. We are on our third piano instructor over the course of 5 years and all of them have used this series for their lessons.

My daughter switched to Faber's Level 1 books after starting out in Alfred's. She has progressed quickly in the Faber books and they seem to be more of a "click" to her. She's now entering 3A and is enjoying the new books immensely. We really appreciate the variety available at each level, including Popular Repertoire and Christmas songs. The Faber Theory is also more interesting than Notespeller, which is what she used instead for a couple years.

engaging theory for young learners
As a parent and piano teacher, I’m always looking for tools that make learning enjoyable and effective. This theory book has been a great addition to my son’s piano lessons. It’s designed in a way that makes theory less intimidating, which is something I was worried about when we first started exploring music theory. The improvisation activities are one aspect that particularly catches my attention. When it comes to playing the piano, they truly provide my son a sense of creative release. He is encouraged to experiment with his own musical ideas rather than merely following the sheet music. He is now more eager to learn and play the piano outside of his scheduled lessons as a result of this. The design of the book is simple, but it’s clear that it’s been thoughtfully put together. The layout makes it easy to follow, and I appreciate that each section builds on the one before. I’ve seen a lot of theory books that feel disconnected or hard to navigate, but this one flows naturally, and my son doesn’t get overwhelmed by the content. Overall, my son's piano training has benefited greatly from this theory book. It keeps him interested, allows him to be creative, and reinforces the lessons he's learning in an enjoyable and useful way. This book does a fantastic job of making theory feel less like a chore if that's what you're looking for.

Good practice book
We bought this for our kids (mediocre piano players) and they love it. It is not too difficult that they want to keep practicing.

This theory book goes alongside the lesson book and others at this level. Well written and well structured as all of the Faber piano books are. Used with the lesson book (clear links are given) it supports and enhances what you are playing by giving a deeper understanding in context.

We follow the Piano Adventures book series from Level 1. Level 3A has a good progress of her learning. She enjoyed so much of the famous songs. It has a great varieties of different styles of songs. It helps her to explore the language of music and the feeling of the songs. She always pretends to be soldiers when she played 'March Slav'. She played so softly and asked us to sleep when she played 'Morning' as she thinks it is a song for relaxation. The greatest part was the last two songs of the book. She even asked me to look for the longer version of 'Eine Kleine Nachtmusik' as she loved the melody so much. We have a lot of funs!
