Smooth and quiet!
Wow, this keyboard is smooth and quiet! It's a replacement for a cheaper Logitech keyboard (MK200) and wanted to see how well the Amazon Basics holds up. Sure enough, I'm impressed! They keyboard is quiet, typing is smooth. The clicking on the mouse is silent! Sounds like a light 'thud' when using it. Same for the scroll wheel, nice and quiet! It feels nice in my hands and it's nearly flat on my desk. No lag at all since it's a wired connection (something I get often from Logitech keyboards prior) and it's super easy to use! Just plug and play right out of the box! Functionality is a plus with buttons dedicated to the File Explorer (button with monitor icon) and Media Player (button with music note icon.) Overall, it serves my needs perfectly. 5 stars across the board for the price!

Great keyboard replacement for a Macbook Pro
Excellent keyboard, totally recommend it for my Macbook Pro, and here's why... So I spilled some coffee (just a little) on my Macbook Pro keyboard and the Command key died... its an older computer so I decided I'm just gonna let it be broken and get a replacement keyboard to use (and yes, I have learned my lesson!). Tried a couple of $20-30 bluetooth keyboards by 2 different makers, both purchased on Amazon, and both suck for different reasons. In my research I found Amazon Basics, their line of products that they, as no surprise, closely monitor reviews and ratings on Amazon.com and make product improvements based on those reviews. And the 3 Amazon Basics products I've used so far have all been superior quality to all other unknown brands. I just love this keyboard! Its well made, the keys feel great and it looks good (high gloss black body, matte black keys). Comes with a mouse too, which I though I just throw out, but I tried it out and to be honest after using an Apple trackpad for a few years, its a joy to use a mouse again :). The mouse is nice too, matte black, very light weight, simple. It's a Windows keyboard, so you'll have to re-map the command key and options keys, just use an app like Karabiner, 5 min fix. The only minor gripe I have with the keyboard is there's no Windows/alt/control key mirror to the right of the keyboard, instead there's a alt, right-click glyph tagged button, function key and control key (in that order). That strange right-click key is not recognized by Mac, so it can't be remapped with the app I'm using. So be warned if you must have an identical set up as a mac keyboard on the right, it ain't gonna happen. Even still... For the price to quality ratio, definitely 5 stars. It would be great to have a Mac version of this keyboard, so Amazon if you're listening, you've got my vote to make one :)

it’s worth purchasing
I’ve had those wireless keyboards that the batteries go out on and I’ve had the wired keyboards that have no batteries. I really like this keyboard because it looks sleek and it’s easy to work off of. The mouse is even cool. I really like it.

Keyboard great, mouse not so much.
Keyboard works fine. But the mouse scroll wheel started squeaking. And eventually the mouse's right click stopped working and we needed to replace the mouse.

Works very well!
The mouse and keyboard work very well. Prior to this I received a Logitech MK270. It didn't work and I returned it and ordered this combo and I couldn't be happier!

A nice set for basic users
This is a two piece set with a keyboard and mouse, as described. Upon closer inspection, this is a chiclet keyboard like you might find on some laptops. They are small keys, inset into the face of the keyboard with the rubber dome type inputs for the keys. The keys themselves are a light plastic and are fairly responsive. I'm writing this review on it right now, in fact. It's about the same quality as any budget keyboard, with decent quality plastic. Obviously, you aren't buying this keyboard because you want the very best, you are buying it because you're on a budget and want something of decent quality. I think you get that with this set, as I find typing on it isn't too bad, and it is fairly responsive. The keys are spaced nicely and doesn't feel cramped. You get all of the keys you would expect. The escape key isn't too different from the rest of the keys and not spaced away from them, so it may be an issue to some, but is otherwise perfectly useful. Becuase of the size of the keyboard, some of the keys are perhaps closer than some might like compared to a full sized and full featured keyboard. The F keys are quite small, but if you're like me, they don't really matter too much. The extra keys, like the My Computer key, calculator key, and they media player key are decently useful and the addition of volume controls and a mute button are also nice. The Amazon Basics logo is unobtrusive. The num Lock key has an LED light to let you know it is on, as does the caps lock key. I found all the keys worked just fine. There is not a lot of surface outside of the keys, which could be a benefit or not, depending on your style of use. I find that it sits pretty flat. There are no flip out risers, so the small ledge at the top end is about as raised as this keyboard is going to get. The rubber feet underneath the keyboard keep the keyboard pretty well in place. I have no found no real fault or issues with this keyboard except for possibly the styling. This makes a pretty good backup keyboard in case your high performance one suddenly goes bad and you have work to get done. I even use it for gaming, where it isn't the utmost in performance as far as key presses go, but is perfectly serviceable for the majority of users. I have no experienced any real ghosting issues, but I'm not likely to. The mouse that comes with this set seems prettys solidly built. It tracks well, has all your basic buttons, and while perhaps not the most ergonomic mouse I have ever used, it is very functional. The scroll wheel works well and both buttons click very positively without issue. My kids and wife use it on the family computer the most and they have no complaints. In fact, the fancy Razer Tron mouse they used to have on that computer stopped working correctly due to the infamous razer clicking problem. The best thing is that it just works without any need for fancy drivers or software. The kids use it fine with their games as well. We've been using these two items for a couple of months now, and they have held up very well. They are very reliable and work just fine for most computing uses. For the price, this is a winning combination for most computer users. The only people I would not recommend this to is your hardcore gamer, as it will probably wear a bit fast in the usual areas and it is just a dome input so it isn't the best for extremely fast responses, and the key blandness might cause some confusion if you are the type to use a wide variety of keys.

Good keyboard, mouse is driving me nuts
I needed another keyboard and mouse after purchasing a refurbished Dell Optiplex 960 from Amazon for general home use. As a rule, refurbs aren't sold with monitor, keyboard or mouse. After 5 months, I've decided it is a 4-star keyboard and a 2-star mouse. KEYBOARD LIKES: * Feel & touch of keys: The keys have a nice touch to them, with low "stickyness" and just the right amount of resistance. * "Plate-style" case: the keys are placed in individual slots on the keyboard, which prevents dust from getting between the keys. KEYBOARD DISLIKES: * The shortcut keys (music player, volume up/dn, calculator) are too close to the keyboard and 10-key. I have accidentally brought up the music player and calculator so many times I ended up super-gluing their shortcut keys in place. * The Function keys are spaced evenly instead of groupings of 4 (F1-F4, F5-F8, F9-F12) and placed too close to the top row. * The shortcut keys I would use most (play, stop, next track, last track) are combined with Function keys F9-F12, which is not so convenient. With the music and calculator keys glued in place, the nice touch of the keys is what stands out most. It is a very good value. MOUSE LIKES: * The left and right clicks have a nice feel, as does the wheel. The clicks are more sensitive than with other mice I've used. * The satin finish looks good and feels nice to the touch. MOUSE DISLIKES * I am constantly right-clicking by accident, interrupting mouse control or invoking commands I had not intended. It is so annoying that it drove me to write this review. In 25 years of PC's I have never had this much trouble with a mouse. I'm not certain why the right-clicks are so hard to avoid, but I think it must be related to the lower profile of this mouse. As per the attached photo, a side view shows how the Amazon has less of a "hump" than my ASUS mouse and my Logitech wireless mouse. I think that somehow this causes the muscles controlling my right-click (ring) finger to fatigue and slip. It's just a theory, but there is no doubt about the accidental right-clicks - they are a prominent feature for me. Other folks, a musician for example, may have little or no trouble with this, or they may have even more for all I know. 3.5 stars is closer to the mark for this combo; the feel of both keyboard and mouse are very good and the keyboard does not collect dust under the keys. With the noted problems addressed it could easily be a 5-star combo and an unbeatable value.
