This is purely anecdotal, but this supplement works for me. I discovered that a big dose of BS (Beta Sitosterol) before bed time helps to reduce sleep interruptions due to an enlarged prostate. This particular brand, as far as I can tell, has the lowest cost per dose of the many I researched (it is possible that I missed something in my search, so maybe do your own). I can also say for certain that using this supplement has helped keep my elevated PSA readings in check. When I'm off the BS my PSA goes up and when I'm on the BS my PSA goes back down - you be the judge. My research has also suggested that BS helps to lower cholesterol levels. I also struggle with cholesterol higher than my MD would like. My next cholesterol check is coming up in about a month and I'll be able to determine if taking BS has made a difference there. I bought because I heard it helps with enlarged prostate and frequent urinations. I was tired of getting up 5 or 6 times a night. It reduced it to maybe 2 times. Highly recommend. If you get it, Try with Zinc and then add 2-3 tbs of Tomato Paste a day! Now I get up MAYBE once a night!

I am not able as yet, to report on its medicinal value, that will take some time,every other aspect of its presentation and delivery was of a high quality. Maybe on my next purchase I WILL BE ABLE TO SING ITS PRAISES..

I have taken Jayln or its generic equivalent for over 20 years. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being extremely effective) I would give this prescription approach a 5. I decided to replace the daily dose of Jayln with a combination of this Bata Sitosterol product and Life Extension Ultra Prostate Formula. I have been using this replacement approach for two months. The symptoms of BPH have nearly disappeared. I no longer have the "bathroom anxiety" when flying or in theaters. I would rate the effectiveness of this approach as a 10. Dump Jayln or its generic and pick up these two products to relieve your BPH symptoms.

I'm giving this 3 stars because I didn't feel that it warranted an "I hate it" or "I don't like it". The fact is this product may work for some but not all and it hasn't done anything to help my condition. I've been dealing with BPH since my 40s, yeah the one thing in which I'd prefer to not be a trend setter, I am. I've been taking two of these pills every day without fail for over a month with no visible change that I can attribute to this product. What has helped me is increasing a dose of Hytrin from 5mg to 10mg and buying a sonic prostate messager. I know the latter sounds crazy but I found that using one 3 or 4 times per week has helped the flow considerably. So I can't say don't use this it won't work. I can only suggest trying it to see but don't expect any miracles.

As expected

I'm two weeks in and I'm back to voiding like a racehorse. Nighttime trips to the bathroom down to once and sometimes twice but definitely improved. I noticed a difference when I upped the dosage to two caps, twice daily, 8 hours apart on an empty stomach. So two in the morning at 8 a m and two in the evening at 8 p m .I've read that men experienced better results in trials where administration was without food and bingo. I'm really impressed and couldn't be more satisfied.

If you wake up at night to go, this is for you. I have tried other products but they didn't help much. With this Beta-Sitosterol I take ONE an hour before going to bed and I sleep through the night without any urges to go! Fantastic! Update: Now I take one with breakfast and the other about 30 min before bed. In the two months, I only got up 3-4 times but only because I woke up due to noise. This really works. I re-ordered!
