Over the past six to seven years, we have been thoroughly satisfied with our Dyson V10 vacuum cleaner. However, approximately a year ago, the battery began to deteriorate rapidly. Due to the high cost of Dyson vacuums, we have been forced to make do with the vacuum until a replacement battery becomes available. After conducting some research, I discovered that it was relatively straightforward to replace the battery in a Dyson vacuum. This made it an appealing option, and I decided to give it a try. The installation process was remarkably simple, requiring only three screws and eliminating the need for any wires. Once the battery was replaced, we were immediately impressed with the improved performance. The replacement battery provides significantly longer runtime, doubling the duration of the previous battery. Additionally, the battery’s performance is superior to that of the original Dyson battery. In conclusion, we are pleased with our decision to replace the battery rather than purchasing a new Dyson vacuum. This approach has proven to be a cost-effective solution that has allowed us to continue using our vacuum cleaner without interruptions.

Works perfectly with my Dyson V6 and fits without any issues. Installation was quick and easy, no special tools needed. The battery holds a solid charge and lasts as expected. Battery worked okay at first. There was a half second delay between pulling the trigger and the vacuum starting. After about 2 months though, the battery stopped working completely. Just past the return window. Do not recommend buying.

I bought this in Feb 2023 and now in Dec 2024 it does not hold much of a charge. I guess that is pretty good since we use it almost every day for the hair of 4 dogs! Some reviews complain that it does not dock well or gets stuck, I find that to be slightly true. Here is how to avoid it. 1) when you dock it into the wall mounted docking station, keep the female receptacle at an angle until you see the blue charging light come on, the "close" it to the final mounting position. If the charging light does not come on, it is not inserted correctly and will get stuck once fully closed and it will not charge. 2) when removing the stick from the docking station, open it to about 30-50 degree angle and give it a little karate chop to dislodge it from the docking station. That is because this battery does not fit exactly as well and smoothly as the original. I am buying a replacement today. Update 11/1/25: this lasted less than a year before my wife complained enough that I bought a new one. I went with the $95 Dyson battery, but it it probably not a good value compared to getting 3 of these. I will see.

Perfect fix

This is the most powerful battery I have tried in my stick vac! I thought I needed the replacement because it kept pulsing on and off. Turns out it was just clogged up and needed cleaning, but I am so glad that I made the battery purchase! It feels like it is stuck to my LVP when using! Highly recommend!!!

It was delivered on time and works great

Unfortunately I was away and couldn’t test it and then the return window had expired. It worked once but can’t be charged.

Removing the battery from my unit revealed it was a DC 35 B. Important for people to know there is an A and B type of DC 35. A snap to install. Charged up and it’s like a new vacuum. This unit was a pass off from my daughter and had little capacity. I bought this battery and a new floor head which is not powered. It works great on our tile and hardwood. Can now vacuum pretty much all of the main floor, including baseboards without the unit shutting off. Impressive!

Our Dyson battery failed. My brother in law had the same issue + found this...a perfect fit + WAY LONGER LASTING than the OEM. This is for the hand held cordless vac, but remove yours first to look at the top of the battery shape so you get the correct one, 2 screws. This is the battery Dyson, for the price, should have come with!!

A Dyson customer service agent advised me that a replacement battery for a DC57 handheld vacuum is no longer in production, but I was given the option to use the replacement battery for a DC45. I took the chance, and was very happy that I did, because the battery works, and now my DC57 vacuum can again be used, instead of it being in the recycling bin.

Faire attention de choisir le bon modèle, il y a deux modèles similaires. Il vaut mieux enlever la batterie d’origine pour comparer avec la photo du produit. Au final, très très satisfait ! — Give a Dyson vacuum a second life. I was expecting a lesser performance than the original, but it's the opposite. It's more powerful, so much so that the vacuum cleaner sticks a bit to the floor. The vacuum cleaner also gives off slightly more heat. Be careful to choose the right battery model, there are two similar models. It is better to remove the original battery to compare with the product picture. In the end, very very satisfied!
