See your surroundings on a rainy day! I bought for a trip where rain was expected (Ireland), and was worried that the plastic would get damaged during travel. It held up perfectly.

I got this umbrella for two reasons: 1. I am a commuter in a large city where automobiles try to run over pedestrians on a daily basis. It also rains a lot where I live, and umbrellas were taking away from my visibility to avoid the aforementioned cars. This helps me cross the street and still be able to see and stay dry. The second reason I got this was we were going on a trip where it rains a lot and I didn't want my view impeded by an umbrella. I looked at every clear umbrella there was -- and was amazed that they seemed more expensive than a regular umbrella. I ended up buying two different brands. The Totes one is better in quality and design than the other off brand. The size is perfect for one person, and two really could fit...if you felt like sharing your space. I found it easy to close/open and use the strap to wrap it up when done. My only complaint is that the top of the umbrella, where the spines are, started to rust or leave some sort of brownish/reddish stain where the hinges of the spines come together. It doesn't impede my view as it is the very top...but it makes it look dirty. I am not sure why it did that. We were in a very rainy area and the umbrella was used for multiple days in a row. Perhaps it didn't get enough time to dry out between uses.

I ordered this Umbrella for our trip to Nashville, I was bummed it was showing rain the whole 5 days we were going to be there but nothing was going to stop me from walking down honky tonk bar hopping. We had a blast, I already have a large clear Umbrella but it's too big for traveling and having to shove it somewhere when you go indoors is a hassle. This one is small compact has a wrist handle, good quality doesn't feel like cheap plastic and a good price. The size is an average umbrella coverage, kept me dry except for my feet but no umbrella covers all. And best of all I could look up at all the city lights walking down Broadway and not miss a thing.

If you're like me and you like to travel to new places but you're always afraid it's gona rain, this baby will not only keep you dry but will also allow you to see new sites. I bought for my first trip to Salem, MA.

I have a problem with balance, and with other umbrellas, I had to hold them over my face, and it affected my balance. With this one I can stand up straight. It comes down over my face I can stand up straight and look out through the umbrella. It is sturdy too.

Nice, and folds up fine to the wind. It opens easily, but closing takes a little effort. I was happy with the size which it good for 1 person and a bag, and folds down to a nice size, to fit in the umbrella holder in my bag. The problem, I see the metal frame at 1 point is rusting. I aways leave it open to dry, once I get to work and at home. So, seeing rust isn’t very nice. For now, it’s working.
