Great wax for chalk paint. Easy to work with.

Excellent product! Renews the natural wood beautifully and to a slightly darker shade.

I bought country chic paint and watched their online tutorials, including using finishing wax. I’ve seen people comment in their paint reviews that the color is the same as in the photos. I’m guessing that’s because they haven’t sealed it with country chic finish wax. You can see the difference in these photos. Not only is it a great sealant but it gives dimension and shine to the paint. I love the color so much more after using the finishing wax. I recommend buying the brush and wax pack. A little wax goes a long way, brush on, let it sit for a while then use lint free cloths to wipe off.

Excellent wax. I tried first applying it with a lint free cloth, but went out and bought a round wax application brush. Application was much easier with the brush. I used the same Canadian brand chalk paint, ‘Cobblestone’ colour, on the old scraped up and dark brown, kitchen island chairs. I allowed the paint to dry for 24 hours, then applied two coats of wax.

I have used a handful of clear waxes over the past 10 years and this single one is my new favourite wax. Almost zero odour (which can linger for days after usage) so no headaches. Not too soft that the matching waxing brush causes massive waste. A quick swirl in the tin for an even coat on the bristles and apply, then buff a few minutes later. Naturally the wax will deepen some shades of chalk paint a ½ shade or so be aware. But it also evens out irregular fine textures bit so fine brush strokes melt away on application leaving a smoother more polished finish.
