I very rarely review my online orders especiallly when it's a positive one
I can't speak to the durability of this case - hopefully, I don't have to test that, but this thing seems to be very well-made and can probably handle some tough drops. I've only just put it on my phone so here's what I can say so far: 1. looks: damn cool I love the iridescent red color 2. quality: seems very well made with rubber corners. the kickstand on the back is cool, and I've had those breaks in past cases with the pins they hinge and slide on made of plastic just break off. This one seems to have an aluminum pin on the part that slides which should avoid the main failure point on most of those kickstands. I just wish the whole bifold hinge piece was aluminum, but I guess time will tell how it holds up. 3. The screen cover for the outer screen seems of great quality as do the rubber bumpers on the corners 4. I've had issues with past cases doing the slide motion touch screen from the side of the screen for sidebar apps, but that doesn't seem to be a problem here 5. I've always been annoyed with side buttons that I can't feel the difference in the volume and power keys - that is no longer a problem 6. BEST THING EVER: the case is so grippy. you don't need a pop socket or even the ring function of the kickstand. Phones these days are pretty but slippy to hold, this case feels so solid to hold I think the chance of dropping it and testing how well it holds up to bouncing off the floor might not be so much an issue I have to worry about. As said this is just an initial impression, so not sure how this will hold up over time, but my first reaction is very positive. I mean - I sure wouldn't be writing a review on a phone case unless i was impressed.

A superlative case for a superlative phone
This is the sturdiest case I have seen for the huge Z-fold 3 and that's a very good thing! My previous phone, the Galaxy Note 10+5g had the same case and I always felt comfortable with it. This case is super sturdy, extremely grippy and even has a nice screen protector for the front screen. The hinge remains unprotected, but I believe the aluminum on that will be more than sufficient to any need. The kickstand is the best I have seen (same as my earlier one) and can be opened to slide a finger underneath to secure the phone just a bit better in less than stable situations. This is NOT the lightest, thinnest case you can find. If that is what you are looking for, turn this one down immediately. HOWEVER, if security is your first priority for your phone, the Supcase Unicorn Beetle needs to be very high on the list. If you like and use an S-pen, get the Pro version--it comes with a case for the pen, but don't think the S-pen Pro will fit in any case--it's way bigger! ;)

Rugged, but zero spine protection
All in all, it's a good case. It is very rugged, and looks like it could take a solid hit. I don't like that the case has zero spine protection, it is 100% exposed when the phone is closed. It's big brother case has the spine protection, so if that is a deal sealer, get that case! The left hand holding ergonomics are a bit sparse, as the metal backing is slick, and offers no grip. Right hand holding is a bit better, as there is a lip that is right at your fingertips. The integrated stand is pretty solid and holds the phone up in landscape mode. It does require some effort to get it out, though. Good luck if you don't have fingernails! SupCase is pretty solid, and they make great products, next time I will buy this case's big brother, the pro model.

Faulty Directions.
The cell phone case appears to be very sturdy, but I just received it today and the directions do not show how the clip on the case can be removed as the bullet point says it can.

THIS CASE IS ONE OF THE BEST FOR DROPS!!! BUY IT.
This protection case is one of the best I have bought. The story goes like this, I always clip my phone on my belt but this time I wanted to go for a ride on my new Honda CRX150L. Instead of clipping it to my belt, I clipped it to my mirror post of my motorcycle. That was a big mistake. It was windy there near Joshua Tree National Park on the 62. Come to find out the clip didn't hold and the $2000 dollar Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 went flying. BAM, it hit the road traveling 55 miles an hour. I thought my phone was toast. I stopped in the middle of the highway afraid that a car would come and run over my phone but it ended up in the middle of the two way highway. I would post pics of my phone but I only have the camera on it. The holster took most of the impact. The only thing that happened to my phone was the edges got scratched. No damaged screens or anything. I was so happy. I didn't have insurance. Anyway, I recommend this case to everyone that owns a phone like this.

It's a safe bet
I feel fine giving this five stars, its features are solid and it gives me confidence, which my last case did not do. The kickstand was very hard to open at first, but after some use, its normal and easy to open it. Supcase has a good track record, and I used one on my Oneplus 6T for a long time, so I'm hopeful it will hold up over time. Pros: NFC Pay works, wireless charging works with phone open and closed, plugging any usbc cable works, the built in volume buttons work, the kickstand works and doubles as a finger grip (I dont use it) the screen cover is solid and doesnt dip when you use it, the case feels very protective and the phone is well protected. Also, no adhesive needed Cons: No hinge protection, no kickstand height adjustment, a little tall front screen height

A decent but flawed case. (12/8 update: broken)
This case is a roller coaster of quality. Aesthetically, it looks fantastic in my red variant. The carbon fiber like finish on the edges is grippy and premium feeling, and the color is vivid and pleasing to look at, the overall industrial look being a big plus to me. The built in screen protector for the cover screen is...awful. It feels like low quality plastic that gets grimy very easily. One of the first things I did was destroy and remove it, it was that unpleasant, and I replaced it with a separate protector. Awful awful material. The kickstand on the back, which doubles as a pop socket like ring holder, is fantastic, no complaints there. It is comfortable to use as a phone grip, and as a kickstand it very stably keeps the phone upright at two angles, one of which is almost straight up and down. It's one of my favorite features of the case hands down. The second big hangup I have with this case beyond the horrid built in screen protector is the half of the case that fits to the cover screen in general. The housing that fits over the back is very secure, but the front slips and slides like there's no tomorrow. Every time I pull the phone out of my pocket it's half off. This gets tedious to correct, though it only takes a second and an iota of effort to fix. Very peeving though. If you're willing to overlook a couple of flaws, it's a wonderful case. Just know what you're getting into. Update on 12/8/22: the small plastic tab one slides their fingernail under to open the grip/kickstand broke off when I used my thumbnail to open it. It's now impossible to open the kickstand. The front case half of this setup was useless from the beginning, and now the back half that I actually enjoyed has joined its brother in a landfill. What a shame. Better materials need to be used, I don't purchase a case this price expecting a six month lifetime.

Good until it wasn't
**Edit** I contacted the seller and gave them the requested information. They are sending me a replacement! I will give a final update once received. I got the case a little over 6 months ago. I liked the case and used it frequently to stand up my phone to watch videos or movies or do anything hands free. Yesterday, I was using my phone, like I normally do, I picked it up to get a better look at something I was reading and as I was holding the phone, the stand just snapped off! I don't know what made it just snap like that but it won't/can't go back on. And now the case is useless.
