Great Comprehensive Drum Set
I recently acquired the Donner DED-80 Electronic Drum Set, and after spending some time with it, here's my review of this all-inclusive drumming kit designed for beginners: **Pros:** 1. **Mesh Drum Pads (5/5):** The inclusion of four quiet mesh drum pads is a standout feature. These pads provide a realistic and responsive drumming experience, making them ideal for beginners looking to develop their skills. 2. **180+ Sounds (4/5):** The extensive library of 180+ sounds offers a wide range of options to experiment with. Whether you're into classic drum tones or more contemporary beats, the variety allows for creative exploration. 3. **Comprehensive Kit (5/5):** The package includes everything a beginner needs to get started: drum pads, switch pedals, a comfortable throne, on-ear headphones, drumsticks, and even Melodics lessons. This comprehensive approach ensures that users can begin their drumming journey right away. 4. **Easy Assembly (4/5):** The electronic drum set is relatively easy to assemble, and the provided instructions are clear and user-friendly. This is especially beneficial for beginners who might not be familiar with drum set assembly. 5. **Quiet Operation (5/5):** The quiet mesh drum pads contribute to a noise-reduced drumming experience. This is particularly advantageous for those living in shared spaces or apartments where minimizing noise is a consideration. **Cons:** 1. **Pedal Durability (3/5):** The durability of the included switch pedals could be improved. While suitable for beginners, more advanced drummers may find themselves wanting sturdier pedals for extended use. 2. **Limited Expansion Options (3/5):** The electronic drum set has limited expansion options compared to higher-end models. As a beginner kit, this may not be a major concern, but it's something to keep in mind for those considering long-term use. 3. **Learning Curve for Melodics (4/5):** While the inclusion of Melodics lessons is a positive feature, some users might find a bit of a learning curve when adapting to the software. However, the lessons can be valuable for skill development. 4. **Headphones Quality (3/5):** While headphones are included, the quality may not match that of dedicated professional headphones. Consider upgrading to a higher-quality pair for a more immersive sound experience. In conclusion, the Donner DED-80 Electronic Drum Set is an excellent choice for beginners seeking a comprehensive drumming kit. With its mesh drum pads, extensive sound options, all-inclusive package, easy assembly, and quiet operation, it offers a well-rounded introduction to the world of electronic drumming. While there are some considerations regarding pedal durability, expansion options, the learning curve for Melodics, and headphone quality, these factors are generally outweighed by the positive aspects of the kit for those starting their drumming journey.

Excellent Value for Beginners and Home Practice
I’ve been using the Donner electronic drum set for a few months now, and I’m genuinely impressed with what it offers at this price point. Setup was straightforward, and everything worked right out of the box. The sounds are responsive and surprisingly dynamic for an entry-level kit. Great for practice without annoying the neighbors! Build quality is solid, nothing feels cheap, and the rack holds everything in place nicely, even with energetic playing. The module includes a variety of sounds and settings, which makes it fun to experiment and find your style. My only minor complaint is that the drum pads are a bit on the small side. It takes a little getting used to, especially if you’ve played on a full-sized acoustic kit. But honestly, for the price, it’s a completely acceptable trade-off, especially if space is limited. All in all, this is a fantastic kit for beginners, casual players, or anyone needing a quiet, compact practice option. Donner really delivers solid value here. I’d definitely recommend it!

Thanks, Santa!
Santa brought the defining Christmas gift! The kid hasn't stopped banging on it all month. Easy to assemble with excellent kit choices programmed. The drum heads could be a little bigger to prevent constant rim shots, but all in all a great little kit.

Great quality
Got this for our son’s birthday and it’s been great. Good sound, love that it came with some with headphones so there’s not any issue with it even being in the same room as everyone else. Good instructions, good selection of different modes. Stool is sturdy enough that it even held up my 300+ lbs husband lol

Nice Starter Set, but Smaller Than Expected
My 16-year-old thinks this is a nice electronic drum set overall. It was a bit smaller than we expected, and he mentioned that the sound isn’t very realistic compared to acoustic drums. That said, it’s still a decent setup for practice, quieter play, and beginners who want to get started without taking up too much space.

So far so good
Our we got this set for our 7yr old which has recently started drum lessons and seems to really enjoy it. Knowing that the likelihood that she sticks to this instrument for a long time is relatively low, I wasn't thrilled at getting it. However, when you put into perspective that this cost as much as just over 2 lessons, it seems like a no brainer to maximize her practice and enthusiasm for it. I am probably what most consider a knuckle dragger with regard to sound quality and responsiveness etc. I can't tell you on a level scale how good or bad this is. I can tell you that when i played around with it it seems very responsive and we had absolutely no issues with it. It'll do just fine, if she sticks with it we will get something nicer years down the road. The set assembled easy, all the wires are labeled. very good for beginners and the price point. Some items that could be improved upon. - the clamps for the drum pads are plastic. They rotate around the bar pretty easy. Hasn't been a problem yet but we'll see. Since the clamps are plastic i'm a bit hesitant to really crank down on the knobs. - There is no place to store the sticks. I ended up 3D printing a cup/feature and attached it to the tube with a P-clamp.

Wonderful set. A few adjustments required.
Got for 11 year Olds birthday. It was easy for the two of us to put it together. The instructions made sense and had helpful photos. Works with the Instadrum App on his tablet so he can play along with songs and also take lessons. Very customizable in terms of height, individual drum tilt and distance for each drum. Comes with an adjustment key that makes it very easy to tighten and loosen everything as you adjust to your preference. I showed him how to use the key because he kept complaining the drums would tilt downward with the force of his playing, so he would tilt the various drums and bars to his desired positions and then tigthen to keep them still. The other thing was the foot peddles kept sliding away from him during use on our hardwood floors so we've put a rug under the area now and it's perfect. There's been no new adjustments made in the past month now that it's set up the way he wants. The stool it came with is kind of annoying because the bolt constantly loosens so if he lifts the seat to move it, the seat Will come off the stand. We may get him a new stool. The Headphones were terrible and I threw them away after the first day. The cushions are very hard and painful after a half hour of use. My son has played this for several hours a day, 5x/week for the past 2 months and there's been no issues with the drums or sounds themselves. Everything is great.

Manufacturer doesn’t care.
So far, I can tell that the manufacturer does not assemble with the customer convenience in mind. First, the middle lateral support connecting piece was all the way to the far left and not in the middle. Next, the support pipes are not as the picture. There is no tool to loosen anything. It seems like a simple puzzle, but the connecting points are not as they should be. So far, it’s taken more time than it should. It’s not a regular screw holding these connections pieces together. I need to use pliers to turn the bolts to adjust the connecting points. This is just what I have encountered so far. Three stars so far without actually getting done yet. Hopefully I will not be disappointed once I get it put together.
