Great product
I have had the grains for 5 days now and they have grown wonderfully. Follow the instructions on sellers website and you can’t go wrong. It is very easy to use grains. For full disclosure I did change the milk when activating the grains every 24 hours for two days as I wanted to feed the grains. On the first change the grains had grown that nice protective coat. On day five my 15g is now 33g so they are good quality, sturdy grains and working great for me.

Healthy SCOBY That Brews Perfectly From Day One
This arrived looking really healthy, floating in a good amount of starter liquid. I set it up straight away and within days there were clear signs of fermentation. The first batch turned out great — tangy, refreshing, and just the right amount of fizz. It’s already making a second SCOBY for the next brew. It’s a simple, reliable way to start making kombucha at home, and it feels good knowing exactly what’s gone into it.

Excellent product easy to maintain
Bought for my partner 2 years ago and it’s still active. Very reliable and easy to use. He keeps in Mason Top jars and refreshes with milk every day. This has saved us a fortune in buying ready prepared kefir.

Too difficult
I found it too difficult to set up a stable process - temperature, volume, time etc. Not for me. Perfectly good stuff though.

Utter waste of money, time and milk - avoid
An absolute and utter waste of money. The grains arrived in the (2) envelopes as tiny pulverised little flakes – multiple multiple flakes in each envelope. Never having used them before, I wasn’t sure whether they were supposed to be like this……I had my doubts which ultimately proved to be correct. But I followed the instructions from both the website and the YouTube tutorial (separate batches, one per envelope) but all that happened was the milk thickened but the grains failed to develop. They simply ‘disappeared’ as flakes into the thickened milk. Now looking elsewhere for kefir grains.

Initially, I was worried they wouldn’t work because it took around a week for them to activate, probably due to the colder winter temperatures. However, once they got started, they’ve been fermenting perfectly. even in winter, and the kefir tastes fantastic.

Temperature is key to success.
Ordered frid arrived Sat. Great service! Placed in kefir jar with non-homogenised whole milk from the dairy up the road. To keep the temperature 18c-22c I used my 1ltr Easiyo yoghurt maker. Rinsed the inside with boiling water, empty, place the Kefir inside put the lid on. Grains, activation in 24 hours. I also have a stick on thermometer on the outside of glass jar. Temperature control is key, even in a heatwave you can control the temperature in this yoghurt maker. I guess if you have an insulated Ice bucket with a lid you’ll get the same results.
