Works on aggressive carpenter ants!
Killed massive colonies of aggressive carpenter ants within weeks. At first the ants ignored it and I was pretty bummed. But after a little over a week of waiting they swarmed one bait station. Then I added 2 more and they also went partially after the other 2 and within a few weeks I did not see a single ant outside my patio My advice is if you have a massive colony or several colonies like I did, be patient. I'm going to leave my bait outside for a few months to kill any stragglers or new nearby colonies that may come by but this bait works!!

Get Ants Out of the House? Put Out Terro Bait Stations
The Terro outdoor disk bait stations are by far my favorite alongside all their other bait stations. They are easy to deploy, your hands are kept clean and dry and they draw ants very effectively. I bought 3 different Terro ant bait stations and experimented. The trick is to find some of the ants trails. I discovered if you give the ants a little taste it will lure them much quicker to the station so I tip the stations just slightly to cause a drop to come out and then it’s game on. I’d seen the ants in my gutters so down went bait. They are still coming to the station and I keep checking the liquid to make sure there is enough to continue serving up cocktails. I’ve deployed conservatively 20 bait stations and I haven’t seen those varmints in the house for quite some time. Most of the stations are outside and my inside ones are drawing no activity which is a big relief. The beauty of this stuff is even if a pet or child gets hold of it there aren’t going to be any fatalities. So I’ve got to say I am now a Terro believer and I give this company 5 stars. Obviously you can tell from my opening sentence the flat green out door bait station is my preferred one. I tried the flat green disks and was immediately surprised and impressed by their performance. I’ve uploaded a video of a conga line of these pests happily dining from one of the green disks on my back deck and you can see them tracking back and forth through the entry holes. After deploying the green disks I got the impression some of the bait stations may not be working so I slid the bait container up the support shafts they sit in. Wow was I surprised. The ants were drinking, swimming, drowning and hauling home booty to share with their compatriots. Good riddance and thank you for giving me back my life Terro.

Terro outdoor ant bait
I am trying to control the carpenter ants in our oak trees. I started using these last fall and they seem effective. The bait does dry out over a few weeks.

Excellent
Those are the best Ant traps you’ll find. I’ve used all sorts of different kinds of the Toro, but these ones are the best there’s so much in there when you put one down, it will kill any nest. I wouldn’t use any other trap after using these.

These work!
I use these outside during spring. Takes care of any ants that like to visit during that time!

Stakes for Terro Outdoor Ant Killer T1804-6 are STILL NOT INCLUDED as of March 2025
UPDATE of March 27, 2025: So, I ordered this Terro Outdoor Ant Killer product, T1804-6, again on March 26, 2025 AFTER calling Terro customer service just prior to reordering. I was told by a Terro customer service rep that the ant stakes were to come with this outdoor version of Terro Ant Killer. So, I ordered again from Amazon late yesterday. I ordered a box of 12 and a box of 4. The package arrived early this morning in a PLASTIC BAG. Luckily nothing was damaged this time. There were no stakes included in either set of Terro smaller boxes. The package of 12 had 2 holes in each, diagonal from each other, but no plastic stakes. The package of 4 had no holes and no stakes. I called Terro again today and was told the stakes are no longer included. I said that I hope this message is being recorded, as I don't want to have to collect these plastic ant stakes from all over my shrub bed after the wind blows. I also expressed a safety concern for small children and pets (including squirrels, etc.). I was told that my comments of safety concerns would be submitted to the company with a request for the plastic stakes to be included in the future. Will it happen...who knows? I did let Terro know that other customers are not happy that the stakes were discontinued. In conclusion, this product works great if you can get them to stay in place. Covering them with mulch does not seem to suffice. So, now I am seeking plastic stakes that might fit the ones that do have holes in the base of each unit. >>>>>PREVIOUS comments below: Where are the stakes to secure these TERRO ant stakes in place? I've ordered many of these for years, and I've been very pleased with them; HOWEVER, those TERRO ant stakes I ordered last year had NO STAKES...zero stakes. These little round things won't stay placed near my foundation without the stakes. They wind up all around the bed of shrubs and flowers. My point is to secure them and cover them with mulch. Before I spend $25-$50 again, I want to know if the stakes and the holes for the stakes are currently included in March of 2025. Does anyone know if the stakes and the holes for the ant stakes are included once again??? AND, The spiral green version of ant stakes don't work well, because they don't go deep enough into the ground, as the stakes are too blunt...AND, the solid dark green spiral stakes do not contain as much liquid.
