Haven't Turned it Off Since Install (Except to Spray Off With Hose)!
Installed in my 300 gallon pond, running to a Vevor UV pond filter. It hasn't been turned off since I installed it, no issues. Much higher quality than my last solar pump. Seems very heavy duty for the application, flows water well, quiet. I have cleaned it once, but it didn't have much build-up.

Best pond pump
This is a replacement for the same model that has been running continuously for almost twenty years. The old one had not failed, but was partially clogged. I thought I might need a new one before taking the old one apart. I noticed very few in line pumps being sold. When I found this on Amazon, I decided to buy a new one because of this and have the old one for backup. This pump can be used in line and submerged. I went through three other brands that failed before buying this.

24/7 for 8 years and counting
The year was 2014. The project was to restore an unkept pond at the new house. I had the time but not a lot of money. I had to redo everything with the pond stone, by stone, new liner, and of course a new pump. I did a bit of research and decided to go with this one. This pond also ended up becoming the sump tank for my aquaponics system. At first, I used 2 separate pumps, one for the waterfall and the other for the system. After the smaller, cheaper pump failed, I redid the piping to just use this pump for both. I have had a few half-dry runs when the pump has drained the pond due to an issue with the piping, ( poor fish, didn't know what was going on). The pond and system have frozen a few times. But the pump has never let up or failed. SO 8 years later and the pump is still moving plenty of water throughout the pond.

Powerful and reliable
still working great. I have gone thru about 5 different pumps and they seem to last a week or so. decided to go for a nicer one and it is doing awrsome

Excellent
Pump is awesome. I have used danner pumps with my salt water aquariums and am currently using the latest pump for my aquaponic system. The pump is quiet and energy efficient

Does the job and low cost
I use this pump on my boat to provide cooling water to the condenser on my air conditioner. A traditional marine pump with equal flow/head would be about $200. Considering this pump only needs to run 100 hours per year, I figured it should last forever. So far (one hot summer) it still works great. I do not run this submerged. I use hose fittings on the suction and discharge. The only concern is plastic construction as opposed to reinforced fiberglass or metal. For pond use...no problem. For boat use, I never leave the boat unattended with this pump running and the seacock (intake valve) open.

Danner/Pondmaster make the best magnetic drive pumps - period.
Danner/Pondmaster make the best magnetic drive pumps - period. I want to say something more than "it just works" - Which really doesn't say much. This I can say from both an experiential and engineering viewpoint. I have over 45 years experience with aquariums, 10 years experience with a medium (>3000g) outdoor pond, and many outdoor water features. I have used Pondmaster and Danner mag-drive pumps for these applications, along with a few regrettable choices. As far as from a construction standpoint, these are a well made pond 'feature' pump or statuary/waterfall pump expected to run 24x7x365. To say I have 'abused' these pumps is an understatement: I have run one or more of these dry, in freezing ponds and fountains (although with pond warmers), and salt-water aquariums - No problems. Even with this type of treatment these pumps have ran for an average of 2.5 years without problems. Initially these pumps had problems with wear in the cover/stem area - this has been redesigned and reinforced for longer life. I recently replaced a Danner 500gph pump in my backyard fountain, which was retired from pond duty after 3 years, sat on a shelf for a year, and ran another two years. The cause of the failure? ....a broken shaft. A bonus is that these are extremely easy to rebuild. I will rebuild this pump with another impeller assembly and cover, and I will have a reliable spare for when or whatever. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Update 24 July 2018: Already rebuilt, tested, and re-boxed. :-)

Pump works great, just undersized for my use, my fault

if i was using pump submerged i wouldn't have noticed but i'm using it inline and it leaks from what i discovered was a crack in the impeller housing.
