Quality made.
Ideal products have always been quality products and I have been using them in electrical trade for about 60 years.

Hey, that looks like a huge container of the kind you find lollipops in...
It's not. The product is the same 74B connector. The container looks big, but it's a mere 6.25" H X 4" D X 2.5" W weighing in 15.3 Oz. I have no problem with Ideal or its products. This just goes to show how expensive these connectors are for one to adjust the project quotes accordinlty. The container looks nice, though, and it's just large enough for all 175 connectors to fit. Once you get it, though, it does not look like those many connectros would occupy something rather small.

Best wire nut for grip and good connection.
Solid body wire nut tightens up nicely and securely...

The Ideal 74b is the classic wirenut.
What can I say? The 74b has been around forever. I remember using these with Dad back in the 1970s. Although I have mostly moved on to using the 341 (tan) and Wagos, I find something comforting about the 74b, and will occasionally choose it. It just seems like the toughest model. The shell is extra tough, and it is reusable, unlike the 341, which expand the shell and makes me wary to reuse them. For this reason, I like to use the 74b to cap wires before a four-way inspection. Also, if you like to use a tool to twist your wirenuts, like one in the end of the Ideal reamer or driver handle, the shape of the 74b is easier to use than a model with wings. One thing about the 74b. It perfectly fits in 1/2” EMT. As soon as your apprentices figure this out, there will be blowgun fights all over the job site.
