An absolute must for a campervan or motorhome
If you own a campervan or motorhome this is the one to go for. It achieves a staggeringly clear picture, both front and back - other dash cams are prehistoric in comparison. No problem in wiring or mounting. The installation solutions are only as good as you are. Take your time and think about the neatest wiring routes and it will look like it grew there. My rear camera is mounted behind a barn door window and works perfectly well in all lights. I’m surprised the insurance companies don’t specify it at renewal time. The recording function and screen navigation is intuitive enough to feel like it’s part of the van from factory. Wolfbox are noticeably aggressive in their marketing and that could make you feel like it’s a con - so many cameras are available on eBay, but the large percentage of them are using analogue cameras and ancient cables. This camera setup boasts genuine HD cameras/cabling and HD processing chips. The difference is like a 1990s TV compared to an iMac Retina experience. I had to retrofit a rear-view mirror in my Crafter as most don’t come with one, this cost me around £20 in special glue and a new mirror of eBay. When mounted the Wolfbox unit wrapped around the new mirror perfectly and securely with the supplied quality rubber straps. Very pleased indeed. The overall look of the camera has improved the van cab area with its constant reminder that it is serving you well, recording all the madness on the roads in perfect clarity.

Top quality dash cam with an excellent app
I have previously had a mirror dash cam on my old car but was looking for something better for my new car. I spent a a few days researching and in the end I purchased the wolfbox g900 pro because of the many good reviews on YouTube and other social media platforms I saw it on. I honestly can not stress enough how good this camera really is. Its looks and feels premium quality. It's 4k front and 2.5k back cameras are very good in day and night. Footage is clear and number plates are readable and so is the surroundings. The 12 inch screen is much bigger than my previous dash cam. The quality is amazing. The features and the menu look good. easily readable in the day and night. The sun does reflect onto the screen making it a little problems at times but this is the same as all the other mirrors. There is a solution for this, wolfbox sell a non reflective screen protector on their website which is what I have ordered. Awaiting delivery. Will update once it arrives. The app is absolutely brilliant. You can see the exact path you have travelled when playing back the Footage. It shows an outline of the full footage while the vehicle is moving. It also shows the speed You can easily remove the timestamp of the speed and location in the app itself. And then transfer the footage to your phone. It was around £100 over my budget but im glad I purchased it.

Front camera on back of mirror is very restrictive, takes too long to start up, randomly turns off.
I've struggled with this for a few weeks, WolfBox have given me good support but ultimately it's not fit for purpose. There are 3 deal breakers.... 1. Having the front camera attached to the back of the mirror means if you tilt the screen towards you (which is how it should be for the best viewing) the front camera points too far to the left (i.e. not directly forward) . You can adjust the front camera lens to compensate but it's not enough. This means video to the front right is compromised, I often wonder if this is for left hand drive vehicles. 2. Takes 8 seconds to power up and then you have a 50/50 chance of it working, if not you need to re-start. Once reset it defaults to split screen and you have to muck about setting it back to rear view. I don't have time to wait for this, I need to reverse out and go. It can be up to a minute fiddling about with it, 3. Whilst driving it randomly re-starts about once per journey, then you're back to point 2 above. I've requested a refund.

Parking Assist Flawed, But An Exceptional Product
I have been using this for 2 months and overall pretty impressed with it. However, there are some issues. The main issue being that the parking assist when wired up to the reverse light, is about 3ft off with its directions. You can choose how the reverse camera displays during reversing, standard or panoramic (to see things in more realistic distances). However in neither of these can you actually adjust the parking lines, to match them up with parking bay lines. The only calibration you can do is the height. The panoramic display is also so small that you are better off still just using wingmirrors only when reversing. I raised this with support and they said that this does appear to be an issue, and refunded me £22 back. However, I hope that this is fixed in a firmware update soon, as it was the primary reason I bought it. The other “issue” is just the amount of wires. For a “Pro” dashcam, you would expect the rear camera to be wireless and the GPS to be part of the actual dashcam. You end up having 3 cables connected to dashcam, which during driving , slowly pushes the mirror down, so the front camera does not record straight. I see no reason that the GPS can’t be part of the dashcam. I am also disappointed that the Pro still does not come with the hardwire kit. This is an extra £30. For it being a “Pro” version this is also something I would expect to be included. I have not purchased this, so cannot comment on this function. Those are my only “issues” with this though. Both camera’s are flawless with exceptional quality. Even with condensation in my rear window, the rear camera still records clearly through it. Night time clarity is exceptional also. Having a rear camera as a rear view mirror improves my safety without having to rely on wingmirrors and blindspots especially at night. And as it’s not a mirror, you no longer get blinded by cars behind you! The wifi to connect the mobile app is pretty quick, and all recordings are perfectly clear. It was actually by reviewing recordings that I realised the front camera is sometimes not straight due to the weight and cables pushing it down. As you need a working rear view mirror to be legal in the UK for cars, then my display view is always the rear view. (I dont actually see why people would select the front view to be looking at where they are going and removing any visuals of the rear) You can set it to show both, but this is also seems pointless in my view. The recordings are 1min long each, so downloading from the Mobile App is very quick. This is a great product, super quality, and I thought that their support was excellent. Does it warrant the “Pro” label? I’m not so sure.

Excellent camera dose everything expected. The front camera has an excellent field of view and even when the display is active the mirror is able to be used in day light and night The fled Of view for the rear camera is out standing and provides a cure for blind spots it dose not distract the drive even at night The install was simple to undertake provided you have some basic knowledge Over all this is an Excellent Pice of Kit very pleased. My only complaint is that it took two attempts to have the product arrive. In saying that tha Amazon support team immediately provided a refund and I found this to be a sign of excellent service and customer care.

It seems like a good quality product, though it didn’t suit my needs (the mirror has a slight tint which makes it hard to use as a rear view mirror in a car with a tinted rear window). Wolfbox were very professional & helpful with their after-sales service.

To begin, im an Auto Electrician and my background is building and manufacturing modern vehicles and assets for governemnt and large comercial companies. I bought the hard wire kit and installed the rear camera on the rear door of a Toyota Prado, installed the reverse signal and at the start it operated as expected. However after sometime, the system began having glitches, the screen freezing while driving, I've seen a significant drop in frame rate while driving (yes its 30FPS but it seems to progressivley get worse as the unit either uses more of the SD card memory or the unit's temperature increases, I have not seen this issue before with other brands like Gator), when putting the car in reverse the screen randomly refuses to change to the reverse camera mode and does not respond to any of the touch screen buttons resulting in having to pull the power out and reset the whole system (that is the most serious safety issue), despite having an external GPS antenna the speed is inacurate displaying a speed 3-4KPH slower than actual vehicle speed (I have the same calibrated speedo used by Highway Patrol which needs to be calibrated every 6 months). For me, a system designed for safety (like being used in vehicles that have their rear vision obstructed and need a live camera to replace the rear view mirror) having a system that freezes, randomly doesn't initiate into reverse mode and has lagging issues that all in all require a hard reset to fix the issue, is an immediate fail for me. For the price of this unit in comparison to competitor models, I will continue to recommend other brands to my customers and not WolfBox. I have not been paid for this review, and there is no financial gain in any capacity for writing this review. Drive safe.
