I'd read some mixed reviews on this but decided to take the plunge. We really needed to patch our plaster in the bathroom and our quote was thousands for what took us a week to do on our own, here and there, with this tool. You have to get the spackle spread evenly, bring the handle down the wall at an angle that keeps the blade flat, and smooth it out as you go. When you do that, you have a great result. Rebuilding plaster walls with only spackle leaves so much room to get curved or ripply walls but ours turned out great. The blade came out of the handle once but it was a matter of reinserting it and screwing it in tighter. Definitely saved us a ton of money.

I don't normally do reviews but I had to on this one. I've been looking at a bunch of different blade sets and this one caught my eye for the price. Was very skeptical tho. Thought for sure it was gonna go back but I was pleasantly surprised. Again tho my review is based on price. Like the price of level 5. But the quality is unbelievable. Nice stiff blades and the handle is not flimsy trash. It's super sturdy. Only thing I don't like is the twist extension on the handle. Vevor killed it on this one.

This skimmer is light and comfortable to use when skim coating drywall. The product is functional and easy to use, once you learn how to keep the blade parallel to the wall. The build quality, the blade in particular, is adequate but could be better. If the blade didn't bend so easily, I would rate this 5/5. Overall, a good value for the money.

Used for the first time on a job and I’m happy with the tools. The case works well for me and everything cleans up fine. I would recommend for anyone wanting to to skim coat their walls

Skim coated ceiling w good results I used Vevor skim blade set, great quality blades . Nice box to prevent damage ,excellent price!

Work well

I only left it a 1 star because there’s no option to leave it a lower review. It worked great for about the 1st 5 minutes or so when the blade fell out of it. When I went to reinstall the blade, I found that 2 of the screws were stripped out, and the part of the blade that the screws are supposed to hold against wasn’t long enough to engage the screws. I needed to use it, so I drilled new holes lower in the handle so it would contact the blade properly and repaired it so I could finish the job. The logo on the tool says “tough tools, half the price” it should read “half the price, one tenth of the quality”

This blade is awesome. I only did 4 stars for ease of use and sturdiness simply because I dropped it and had to tap the blade back into its proper placement in the screw slots (though it had no negative effect on function)and 4 stars on ease of use just because it is not magic ,lol, you do need to know how to skim mud at least a little. It really is a nice tool and worked perfect for my project. So much so that I am looking to get smaller ones to possibly replace some of my larger knives. If you are a beginner, I would say don't go over 24" to start. Using it on the wall is fairly straight forward, but cleaning the mud off as you go takes a little practice. Also, there are plastic caps on the ends to finish the ends of the handle"tube". One fell off right away and I planned to glue it on. Then had an epiphany and took the other one off, ran a file around to smooth the edge a bit and now when you wash it the water doesn't get trapped inside , it flows right out! This tool is stainless and aluminum so washing it is ok. In the old days drywallers rarely washed their knives as the carbon steel would rust almost instantly.
